What a wunderfull sound from the Leopard 1 ... Thank for the upload, I am thinking of 2 years with this wunderfull tank at german 4. KP. Tankbatalion 174
Hi, they are leo2a7 (just compair the front of the hull) but they have a little difference in the turret then most 2a7. Maybe requirements of danish army like most countries have some slight different in requirements in afv's?
@@koenvandam1281 What makes me think they are 2A5s is the barrel length, it's far too short to be the L/55 gun of the 2A6/2A7. Also, the additional armor on the front of the hull is also present on the STRV 122, the Leo 2A5DK, the Leo 2A6M and the Leo 2A6E. So the addition armor doesn't really prove that it's a 2A7
@@MahDixiNormas I was also confused at first. It has all the A7 upgrades except for the L55. During the show it was also presented as an A7. Maybe somebody else can explain why not all Danish A7s are equipped with the long barrel?
@@tijmuh Holy smokes, you're right. I just did a little bit of reading and it turns out the Danish sent off a bunch of Leo 2A5DK to Germany to be upgraded to 2A7 standards but keeping the L/44 barrel. Guess I was wrong after all.
@@MahDixiNormas All tanks are the A7 variant, however the cannon on some tanks haven't been changed yet. It's because the L/55 takes long time for Rheinmetall to make, and because some of the L/44 cannons still have some lifetime/shells left in them
