From what I understand, this song is about Rio from Tokyo Ghoul: Jail (Drawing in the video is him). Österreich and Sui Ishida (Tokyo Ghoul’s creator) have both hinted at this. I recommend reading Tokyo Ghoul’s manga if you haven’t, as it’s truly a masterpiece of a story that I hold dear to my heart. I hope everyone is doing well and thank you for watching (*^‿^*) Side note, I did ask my best friend what Merci Deux translates to, as she is semi-fluent in French, and she said “Thank you both or Thank you two” would be the most accurate translation :)

All osterreich's songs remind me of tokyo ghoul manga, And if they were to remake their anime, Osterreich would definitely be there, Ishida did very well in choosing them for the opening ''Munou'' :>

Thank you for your hard work once again!! I've listened to this many times but did not know it's about Rio (beside "贅沢な骨") till now. This song is really suit him, tragic but beautiful, loneliness but familiar. Seeing your mention about Tokyo Ghoul actually brought tear to my eyes, 3 years have passed but the hollow after finished it still stay. "truly a masterpiece of a story" (｡•́︿•̀｡) Merci beaucoup!

I didn't know this song was about Rio either until I did some research. I agree it really does suit him and his story. You explained it perfectly. Awww you're too sweat, but yes I understand that feeling. I would say Tokyo Ghoul's ending had left an emptiness in my heart, but when I think back on its characters and story it fills back up again. You're very welcome
