He was a mental midget when pressed he often lost focus, rarely willing to go full into a game and commit. Thats why he was maybe the best skilled of german world cup winning team but the one with the smallest impact. His total skillset was ok but nithing more . Thats why Arsenal with him as key figure mostly sucked.
The guy was just 1 season wonder. He had no prime. Only 2011-12 season, nothing much. Was thrown out of Madrid by Di Maria and Modric. Flop at Arsenal.

Players like Ozil, Hazard, Sanchez don’t get enough credit because they couldn’t remain at their peak for too long. But they were absolute ballers who made it worthwhile for us to sit down and watch a football game.
