Simon says is the (haechan)song that no one can forget like the production, costumes everything insane and vocals beautiful ....and legend bridge everyone killed it
@@kmgfeels I don't want to be a hater but not me honestly, I think Winwin is shining more in WayV and he is more comfortable with his members now, but yeah
@@smol_rh oh yeah I get it, i miss the interactions tho 🥹 but yes, i’m loving this era of winwin getting more attention, because he deserves it so much!!!!
Dying, NCT for “people who like to be choked” 😂💚 and you’re so right about needing to “unlock” that part of your brain (the music not the choking haha). Their music really does unlock levels in your brain, the mix of genres, the vocals ranging from classical to r&b, to even church-like with raps that can be choppy or melodic, and the production switch ups woooo, it’s definitely not elevator music 💚❤️
Simon Says is about breaking out the rut that makes you unique. The group wore masks covering their individual selves, walked the same cadence in an unending circle bent with the pressure to conform. The masks came off and each individual was able to shine within the same group.
i knew what was coming when esosa was gonna see the limitless videos 😭 being a black nctzen is truly not an easy feat like the fact that this is a repeat occurrence for them is the biggest eye roll EVER. that song is literally one of nct 127's best songs to date (ive loved it for so long and it hasn't gotten old at ALL. truly a gem in their discography) HOWEVER.... the madness that was the cultural appropriation left and right???? even taking that away the performance video is giving low budget and the music video is not.... giving anything. the visuals do the era so dirty especially considering that mini album has some of nct's most iconic b-sides as well. i've erased the performance video but even more so the music video (literally forgot it existed bc most reaction channels watch the perf. vid too) from my head and this reminder today sure was jarring 😭
@@subhanrashid132 okay so when slavery was still a thing african americans used braids and different hairstyles for different routes to escape from slavery and its apart of their culture.
No bc the concept that the limitless album didn’t have your typical promotion trailers, music video and didn’t even have photocards was actually crazy from SM it was definitely something you didn’t see before…limitless will forever be my favorite 127 tt
Honestly Esosa, you're probably going to have similar experiences with most 127 title tracks lol. Out of all the sub-units, 127 is definitely the most experimental so some people tend to not vibe with title tracks on the first listen. The more you listen to it, the more it grows on you since you start to get the weird structure or instrumental choices
I think vocals, vocal layering aside, the reason I’m a SM stan is bc they aren’t afraid to try out new stuff and they are literally the only ones breaking away from the overly safe, generic, basic, mainstream norm, and like low-key imo I think they are making music that is wayyyy ahead of time. I think most SM stans are used to and love the weird quirky music they sometimes release and it’s actually very fun and saves us ppl who are tired of safe, generic, cliche music in general. To me, the mainstream, safe sounding generic songs gives off a typical boring ballad to me now and I can’t go back. The kwangya quirky music has me now.
Limitless has gritty and gorgeous // what a great combo. Simon Says just makes you freak in a fantastic way -- that big table is iconic and crazy/ Yuta in the skirt and Taeil's high note -- oh yeah. Love groups that push the norms and they do every time.
When music is on the experimental side, it's only normal that you may need to listen to it more than once before your brain can stop trying to make sense of it and just enjoy it.... For me, Simon Says is one of those songs I had to listen to LOUD in the car to fully fall in love with it and become obsessed... and yah, the bridge is just straight up god-tier. My theory on the Limitless videos (there are three, actually), is that the original plan for the Limitless mv was scraped for some reason, but they needed to release something, so they put out a "Rough Cut" (which looks to be mostly footage for b-roll) and the Performance version... then months later when they decided to release the Japanese version of Limitless, they revamped the concept and fully fleshed it out into a proper mv using some of the same themes, but it's much more polished looking and has far better styling (not to mention less problematic hair, for some). Hope you can check it out someday, I love all three for their different aesthetics, but Japanese version tends to get skipped by a lot of reactors... it's really quite beautifully shot (direction and camera quality) and should be seen more than it is.
im not llike an nct super fan im just casual listener but back in the day i played simon says everyday so i have school teen good memories alsoo haechan ATEEEEEE LIKE THE WAY HE ATEEE
Esosa is so right about the initial reaction to limitless, when I first saw the video I definitely did not get the hype cause all I just saw was madness with the hair, after a while I grew to love it but yeah….. which I saw this discussed a bit more amongst nctzens but what can you do ey 🤷🏾♀️
For every simon says nct will give you limitless and for every sticker you get superhuman. That's what I love about this group, the variety and quality in their discography and the fact that they never stay in a safe zone. Even if some of their songs are too experimental for some, you know it's just a matter of time until they drop the next masterpiece 😭
No like I feel so relate with those two kind of reactions when I heard limitless. Like I felt so weird cannot vibe with the song ay first. But in 2019, I was in the deep diving mode on discovering NCT as a whole group and Limitless has risen to my top3 fav song from nct127 an it has ben stuck in my head till today like it has special memory 😂😂😂
i love limitless but i really wish their hair wasnt like that just makes me kinda uncomfortable as a black fan but i really do love that eras fashion otherwise
I love nct-127 and I love the song limitless. Never saw the video, glad I heard the song first. Cause the video 😳😨😬😬😬😬😬😬😬 them hair styles! 🫣🫣😬😬😬😬. I’m shocked they didn’t catch any heat from them hairstyles. The MV is a hard no throw it out. Then again that came out In 2017-2018? So I guess I can see how they got away with them hairstyles lol. Still don’t make it right 😂🤦🏾♂️
The confusion NCT creates as a whole is what makes them unique in the industry. Musically, genres in Black music created 'New Jack Swing' by Riley & Belle... Neo Soul/'Kedar' is another genre of fusion music... Even though Kpop is a mashup, what SM & NCT are doing sonically is creating a new Genre in their productions. We are witnessing a new birth in music and not everyone will be able to follow suit. The way they've decided to produce their tracks, sets them apart. Your brain has to be in the 'Neo Zone' to follow... the more you listen, it will come.
It's weird cause a lot of NCT 127 music is so experimental that I don't get it and at first listen I think I don't like it but for some strange reason I saw Simon Says as the masterpiece she is at first glance! THE CHORUS IT JUST chef's kiss and the rythm is so complex and cool at the raps auvfbljaktng
Honestly with a lot of NCT songs, I listen to them and end up saying "oh it was an alright song" but then years later I find myself singing the songs in my head and then I'm like "wait why did I never download these songs they are bangers?!? (also unpopular opinion I liked sticker on the first listen)
