One of many mistakes that I see made that they will regret later on is they should have dug a ditch along the edge of the hills to give a place for the water to go and they should not have put dirt up to the level of the concrete because now when it rains especially a lot of rain it's going to wash that dirt onto the concrete and create mud. And eventually with the water running over the concrete and pushing all that dirt over on top of it it's going to be a muddy slippery mess and it will be a lot harder to clean up that if they correct that mistake now. When you're building roads or putting pavement or concrete over roads you have to first make sure you have proper drainage so you don't run into these problems later on. I won't be surprised if they end up with a lot of divots in the concrete that will hold water because they should have used one long straight board to pull along and go side to side to spread the concrete and to keep it at the same level. The one man that has used the shortboard has the right idea but you need a heavier and longer piece. In America we would use a 2" by 4" piece of lumber to do this. We would also have leveled the boards along the edges and they all would have been the same size and the concrete would have been poured to the top of those boards on both sides that way you can lay the 2" by 4" on top of that and spread the concrete. For amateurs they're doing the best they can but they could have had better guidance from the concrete contractor. Either he doesn't care or is just an amateur himself.
