Both my parents lived through WW2 in Malta my father worked for the RAF and my mother worked in munitions. Neither talked very much about their experiences so it is so good to see documentaries like this.

The Germans paid reparations for WWII till 2010. Britain got a share of it. Some of it went to Malta, not much though. My father got but a pittance for losing his businesses through the War Damage Commission. It is said that Britain was to give Malta 20 million pounds to restore the damage on the Island from what I heard Britain short changed Malta by 11 million pounds.
