Δήμος Παξών

Πρωτεύουσα και λιμάνι του νησιού είναι ο Γάιος, ενώ στο νησάκι της Παναγίας βρίσκεται το ομώνυμο Μοναστήρι. Στη βόρεια πλευρά του νησιού συναντάμε το γραφικό οικισμό της Λάκκας με τη θαλάσσια σπηλιά της Υπαπαντής, ενώ στις ανατολικές ακτές το Λογγό με την εκκλησία της Ζωοδόχου Πηγής. Στη δυτική ακτή των Παξών βρίσκονται οι Γαλάζιες Σπηλιές, όπου τα μπλε νερά της θάλασσας προσφέρονται για καταδύσεις. Ιδιαίτερα γνωστός είναι ο Τρυπητός, ή αλλιώς Καμάρα, ένας βράχος στον οποίο σχηματίζεται μια φυσική αψίδα, καθώς και η νησίδα Μογγονήσι, που συνδέεται με τους Παξούς μέσω γέφυρας.

Gaios is the capital and the port of the island, while on the island Panagia the Monastry with the same name is situated. On the north side of the island we come across the picturesque town of Lakka with the sea cave of Ypapanti, whereas on the east coast we can meet Loggos with the Zoodochou Pigis church. The Blue Caves are located on the west coast of Paxos, where the blue waters of the sea are ideal for diving. Particularly well-known is Tripitos, or otherwise called Kamara, a rock on which a natural arch is formed, in addition to the small island Mongonissi, which is connected to Paxos through a bridge.
