@@thechosenone8288 he is talking about the end of the 2nd phase where Heimdall starts screaming "stop stop stop" but Heimdall was not begging for his life he was begging for the pain to stop
@@thechosenone8288 idk it sounded like it to me, like a child calling time out or something, but I guess he wasn’t going to let Kratos walk away no matter what
Man I love this whole sequence of events. The two short cutscenes of Kratos memorising Heimdall's moveset, then shortening his swings to land the first punch (making contact with the ring of course), and then finally demolishing the arrogant prick - freakin' love it. Heimdall's actor really knocked it out of the park cause he annoys me SO much...makes beating him up all the more satisfying lol
oh is that what's happening? i was always confused about why exactly you just gradually gain the ability to damage him. it felt a little bit hand-wavy. i mean his whole thing is that he can see your attacks coming, and it makes sense that the spear's ability to detonate would trick him the first time, but other than that it kinda just feels like "uhhh you can attack him now because we said so"
One thing I notice about you and Gamebreaker God is neither of you ever roll, just dodge at the last second. I need to incorporate that into my gameplay from here on. I like his gameplay a bit better because he has figured out technical inputs I have yet to figure out, but this was flawless gameplay. No unnecessary inputs, aggressive, and use of all three weapons. Good shit bro!
@@ScrodumHat I think for me the problem was I didn't know you could side step so much damage. I thought you had to roll out of the aoe but here they just bob and weave on some Mike Tyson shit.
@@davidwhite206 if you timed it just right, you can utilize the “invincibility frame” to you advantage. Like when heimdal is slamming some bifrost into the ground. Normally if your timing is wrong and dodged too early you would get hit.
Contrast this kill from Baldur, who is very similar in the regard that "a warning isn't going to cut it." Kratos eventually knew he had to kill him, if for nothing else than to protect Freya. Here, even if he had to kill, he chose to kill out of rage this time - the same rage the Greek pantheon knew all too well before their demise at his hands. Mimir recognized this immediately, hence his line of "This isn't who you want to be!!!"
Heimdall: You know... pain is not as bad as I remember! Me: Allow me to translate. What he MEANS is "I'm coping BIG TIME and need to say something witty to save face!"
The things Heimdall hate are losing since he's not used to fighting someone stronger than him and doesn't accept mercy after kratos decides to spare him.
“Monster.” with his last breath said the arsehole, who not only had taunted and provoked the mellowed Butcher of Gods, but threatened to kill his bloodline.
I just discovered you today, and, from the bottom of my gamer heart, and after all the videos I've watched, you truly are someone who deserves to be called the God of War
MAN, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. I was playing gow 2018 in call with some friends and, just for fun we made a challenge for me to beat the valkyrie of Freya's house with these conditions: -First Armor -No Runes -No Weapons, only Fists -Hard (not Give me God of War) -No Damage And I did and they even told me to download something to record, but I didn't manage to do It. Sorry for my bad english, I am actually Brazilian. Good fight and good video. ;)
It seems like every video I’ve seen of boss fights is the person all leveled up and finishing them in 10 seconds but you sir are doing the real challenge of lvl 1 boss fights. It’s reminds me a lot of KH2 data fights.
Kratos gave Heimdall every possible chance to walk away and not fight to the death. He gave Heimdall MULTIPLE chances to stop. Yet he fought to the end. Kratos had no choice, when it came down to it. Either Heimdall dies, or Kratos would. One of them wasn't leaving alive. You would have thought Mimir would understand that.
Fun fact. At the beggining of the script heimdall was going to be a even bigger asshole and was going to brake trudds back ruinning her dream of being a valkyrie and blaming atreus so thor will hubt and kill atreus, but it was change because that would force kratos to kill thor with no redemntion.
04:04 It looks somewhat brutal how you stay still when heimdall uses that ability since many of us are used to seeing players who keep moving every second
@@RAGE-OF-SPARTA-X I agree the camera lens is very useful for things like evading Notice that the heimdall didn't flinch with the blows, it's because the weapons aren't improved, right? I have not played gow Ragnarok
I wanted Heimdall's end to be more flashy, like the Greek Gods. Stuff like ripping his head off bare handed, or destroying his eyes with your thumbs, or even punching his jaw out, or, better yet, freeze one of his limbs with the axe, smash it and then burn him with the blades. The last one would definitely send a message, showing Kratos can be a monster again, when his family is threatened. Such a shame that Kratos is tamer in the Nordic arc
In my head, the most fitting death for Heimdall would’ve been for Kratos to stab one of the blades into the ground in between his legs then pull him backwards onto it splitting him in half like a bandsaw would.
6:15 all the other transitions to gameplay to cutscene look so jittery and obvious the way Kratos turns Heimdall around yet yours looks so natural and flawless
Odin, he was the worst of them. Heimdall was the 2nd most satisfying. From a story standpoint, It wasn’t satisfying beating Baldur in the final fight because that’s a character i feel bad for and sympathize with, his life was ruined by his parents. His death was rather sad.
Heimdall should not have brought Atreus into this skirmish, otherwise he wouldn’t have suffered the brutality he did. Moral of the story: Never threaten someone’s kid (especially the offspring of a War God).
Do you know who I am?! Me: starts unrolling God of War 1-3 kill feed, and legendary feats. The battle ends: Well, I guess it's better not to even start talking then.
enemy HP bars' colour (number more accurately) reflect enemy level green and yellow is equal and i think +1, i forgot what's next and red is at least +3, and bosses are almost always the same level as you if not +1 at worst
Here's Ragnarok level colors: - Green: -1 or more Levels below you - Yellow: Equal Level to you - Orange: +1 Level above you - Purple: +2 Levels above you - Red: +3 or more Levels above you Any enemy with a red bar will not show their level and will instead show a skull next to their healthbar.
Story bosses are easier when you use the checkpoints. When you don’t use the checkpoints and have to sit through the cutscenes every time, Story bosses are infinitely harder.
