They should be teaching these guys to zero their rifles the Kalashnikov way (target at 100m with rear sight set to 300m). This is all wrong, you can’t zero an AK like an M4, the ballistics and weapon systems are entirely different...

That is true, the 5.56x45mm round has a longer flatter trajectory than the 7.62x39mm round. Than again at typical close to medium engagment ranges, I imagine that a soldier that can control their rifle is enough to at least do the job, especially if all you need to do is surpressing fire when lacking an MG. EDIT: I'm drunk and an arm chair idoit so I'm probaly talking out my ass lol.

@@nekomasteryoutube3232 The size and shape of the targets are completely different for zeroing too, the AK requires a larger 100m rectangular zero target. Those 25 meter m4 targets aren’t appropriate for a Kalashnikov battle zero

@@s.thompson9 Than again, each rifle is used differently between countries. USA and Canada use our M16's or Colt Canada C7's more like marksman rifles with more semi-auto fire right? As far as I know you can KINDA get some accurate fire with an AK-47 or AKM but that requires a disapplined soldier firing on Semi-automatic. AGAIN I'm just an arm chair geek, my opinion is worth as much as road salt lol.

Wrong, you can zero AK at 25m using the 200m setting and then use the battle sight zero after.

@@zeidon4193 that is a complete myth as most people with AK rifles do not have a sight adjustment tool nor do they know how to zero the rifle. They can be a 2-3MOA gun all day

Damn this brings back tons of memories. I was in Iraq 3 times and had to train the Iraqi army and also did things with the Iraqi police thousands of times over 3 deployments. The most annoying thing was communicating. The language barrier made it very difficult. Had to have a terp for everything. Also they didn’t really seem to care. We would train and train and train and they just would always revert back to old habits.

si afilia because of isis coming out of nowhere and it being strong they didn’t have any time to train they’re soldiers. my uncle said the first time he ever used a gun was in a gun fight against isis

The problem I got is they called them AK-47s even though they came with the three holes in the Front grip making them Yugoslavia akm they could’ve just said ak or Kalashnikov which would be fine but they were pacific and called them AK-47s which is wrong they are not the type one AK-47 they are Akms
