The wolf and the seven goats is a fairy Tale by the brothers Grimm, published as part of a series of fairy tales in 1812-1815.
It was widely spread in Russia in the XIX century, entered the oral folk art and with some changes in the plot received the status of " Russian folk tales».
Once upon a time there was a goat with kids. Often the goat went to the forest to eat silk grass and drink cold water. As soon as he leaves, the kids lock up the house and don't go out themselves. The goat comes back, knocks on the door, and sings:
Kids, kids!
Open, open!
Your mother came and brought some milk;
Your mother came and brought some milk
The kids will unlock the door and let their mother in.
