What's scary to me is that Francis would throw wild arm punches, Pavlovich has a reach of 84 inches, makes every use of it, and he is QUICK. The finish of Tai is very impressive, Tai is no quitter, no slouch, you could see his heart was there but when you're getting hit by a truck, you get run over.
That and his hand speed, accuracy and cardio. His MO is he clips guys enough to know they're hurt then just pours it on. That takes a lot of courage and confidence for a man that big to throw that many punches. That is scary.

That is not a jab it's a left punch. Look at what he's doing with his feet. When he goes into that mode it's like Belfort's thing I forget what you call it heck Dempsey did it where you shuffle the feet as you come in allowing every blow you throw to be a punch.

@@tehgibbles8314 That was a few years ago. He has been training with Khabib and Cormier on his ground game but I don't think that he can stand a chance with Jones on the ground. Who knows how much he has improved on his scrambles and ground defense, but I definitely wouldn't count him out on the stand up game because Overeem was losing the in the stand-up exchange and decided to take him to the ground. Jones doesn't have a lot of power behind his punches. He's really good at utilizing space and reach but against Sergei it will be a lot different because he matches up with him in size.

UFC spoonfed jones the title against a kickboxer with zero groundgame and takedown defense. He avoided francis and when francis was gone he suddenly was ready. UFC is always pritecting jones and even if he loses he gets the decision win. So his head needs to be knocked off clean and role on the canvas for him to lose.

The only way Jones will beat Miocic is by the special rule that only seems to apply to Jones, which is, "you have to finish the champ to beat the champ." Reyes, Santos and Gustoffson (1st fight) all 3 beat Jones by points. (When you actually know how points are supposed to be calculated and what offensive attacks outweigh others, cage control, ect.) yet because they didn't finish Jones he was given the win.

That fight was more of a fluke than anything. He just destroyed Spivac who is a wrestler. And he won convincingly. Blaydes will struggle. Gane’s striking and footwork will be too much for him.

Length in fighting is such an advantage. Thats why floyd, izzy, jon jones and others are so good. They all have freakishly long arms for their height. Floyd was 5’8 with 72 inch reach. Izzy 6’4 80 inch reach. Jon jones is 6’4 84 inch reach. When you have a plus 4-8 inch ape index, thats an insane advantage. Most guys at 185-205 have 72-74 inch reach. Jon jones had 10 inch reach advantage on some guys. Floyd fought 64 inch reach manny. Floyd had the reach of a person 6 feet tall fighting guys 5’6 Pavlovich has an 84 inch reach at just 6’3. Guys get clipped because they feel like they’re out of range and he catches them

Would have liked to see Sergi and Nganou. Nganou is upset that a UFC contract doesn't allow him to promote his own sponsors at events and doesn't allow him to fight outside of the promotion, but the people he's hurting are the fans who want to see him compete against other top fighters in the world. And those fans are the only reason he's had the opportunities to showcase his skills and earn a comfortable living doing it. Maybe making it to the top or the knee injury caused him to not want to fight top level competition. The heavyweight division is stacked with dangerous fighters. Not only Jones and Stipe, but Sergei, Gane who was whooping his ass before he found out that Gane had the ground game of a turtle on its back. Tai, and Derrick Louis, even though they've been on a downward trajectory after fighting Gane, could hit a 2 fight win streak and find themselves near the front of the line, and they can sleep anybody. Frances didn't care about sport and his potential for greatness within the sport, or the fans whose interest in the sport is responsible for his opportunity, instead he wanted to be a side show and collect the lion's share of the revenue for any fight that he's in. Frances Nganou promotions hasn't booked a single fight.

Ufc has huge insurance fees marketing fees venue fees salaries to pay and fight purses for the whole card. Francis just simply can't make millions and millions on 300k ppvs. he also wants 30m to box. guys not getting any younger either. he's it least 36. him vs Jon would have been a guaranteed 8m payday and a chance at drastically increasing his legacy and value should he have won. If he did win, rematch fight likely 12-15m and a boost in any fight after.
