I disagree, based off of his performance in America, empire of Israel, where without a former background in pocket billiards, he was able to keep up, unlike judd trump who failed miserably. Maybe you are right when considering pyramid, and Evgeny has unnecessary mechanical angles of attack with his delivery, but it's because of that as well, he is not a mediocre player. I study mechanics and delivery, and when it comes to draw of the cue ball, he executes correctly whereas many pros do not, because they swing harder where Evgeny does not and that proves a very technical and sophisticated awareness of mechanics on his part. And it's because of that awareness at a high level, he is able to step into the various American disciplines and compete at a professional level. There are many that think that American and European pro pool players are inferior and that is understandable but that is also nonsense in reality, it's just that the discipline itself with 9 ball and other games, it looks inferior and that may be true, but once again, why didn't one of the best at snooker as well as his predecessors fail when coming from a supposed Superior game of snooker? Pyramid in my opinion is the superior game as well as three cushion billiards. Not snooker. Because those with the pyramid or billiard background always seem to excel when it comes to American pool or cue sports in general. Also when talking about era's, I don't think it's fair to place one player above or below previous players because it's not that players fault that the field may now be weaker than before. If evgeny is scratching them off as you say well then that's what he should be doing because he is the superior player and maybe you know better when it comes to personally knowing if he's arrogant while pretending to beat formidable players and that might be true who knows, I don't know because I don't live in Russia. Thank you, just my opinion, but not my opinion that he is mediocre...no way.
