Yes... Volk is my favorite fighter of all time... I knew what was going to happen. You could just tell by the energy in there. Volk was moving around the whole time and hitting Ilia with everything.. Nothing hurt Ilia. I knew that once Ilia threw out a combo against the fence, as he always does, it was going to be lights out. So sad to watch. But I do like Ilia a lot as well. Bro is a beast, and probably the most dangerous featherweight we've ever seen, besides Conor and Aldo. His patience is crazy tho

That's another reason why it's hard to counter him, but it's another reason he gets backed up into the fence if pressured. You can see when Topuria starts to execute the pressure after picking up the pattern. These high-level fights are fascinating to pick apart.

Thats why its important to utilize the tai clinch when in those moments. You should never try to counter with such little space, you see volk try to throw a counter before being KO'd.

Every stance has its flaws it’s just how good u can use it.

Volk deserves a rematch because he is the greatest of all time. But he should take rest. Volk fought Islam a way bigger guy who should be actually fighting welterweights. This topuria does not even stand a chance against Islam and we know what Volk did to Islam in their first fight. Hands down no comparison, Volk is way more superior. But yes he is getting old now.

It's really not being biased. Alex did have a great start if you look at the scoreboard, Alex won 1st round and was having a great round 2. Landing most of his kicks and busting topuria's nose with those jabs, but Topuria just needed a single clean connection for that knockout.

volk won the first round maybe he wasnt landing the biggest shots but he was landing more often and more accurately until the ko
