Јас се ориентирав по програмата која што ја објавува бендот кој што свири на овие собири, „Македонико Мераки“. Меѓутоа, најголемиот македонски собир секоја година има фиксна дата, затоа што се слави Илинден по стариот календар, а тоа е на 19-20 јули, во Овчарани (грч. Мелити). The lyrics were written post-1950 in communist Yugoslavia, and it's definitely not sung in the local Florina vernacular and definitely does not resemble any local musical style. As for the content, it's quite clearly a propaganda song. The truth is 28,000 children aged 3-14 from Macedonia, (the song shamefully excludes Thrace, Epirus and Thessaly) did not cross into Iron Curtain countries by organizing themselves while most of their parents voluntarily stayed behind. This disgraceful event happened solely as a result of the communists, and they in fact announced this policy over communist radio. But the communists were not able to roundup enough children voluntarily, so they forcefully extracted children in communist-controlled areas using threats and violence. Many mothers who refused to give up their kids to the communists were assaulted or outright murdered. Greece protested multiple times to the U.N., however the communist countries only allowed a limited amount of children to return as a token gesture. To show that history repeats itself, the Russians did a similar thing recently by abducting Ukrainian children. I have relatives on my mom's side who were stolen. They had some harrowing stories. Your heroes destroyed thousands of lives for nothing.

Dionysius of Halicarnassus was himself a representative of Hellenic culture, the work of Diodorus the Sicilian. This Hellenic author also wrote a biography of Alexander, in which he mentions Macedonians and Hellenes as two separate peoples in several places. In a statement writing about the rebellion of the Hellenes against the Macedonians, Diodorus testifies: "...the Hellenes, who were left in Bactria and Sogdiana ... rebelled against the Macedonians. They gathered about three thousand men. On the way home they suffered many hardships, and after Alexander's death they were all massacred by the Macedonians". (Diodorus, 17.99.5 - 17.99.6). So the Macedonians were "Hellenes", hahahaha and these Hellenes (who were forced to live in Asia) rebelled against them, after which they were massacred by the Macedonians. And that was written down by a Hellenic author! Justin is another famous ancient author who wrote a biography of Alexander. Neither five nor six, this ancient author wrote that the Hellenes were "slaves" of the Macedonians: "...The name of the Macedonians, which was previously unknown, suddenly became dominant. And Philip, who was held hostage in Thebes for three years..., increased the power of Macedonia, which now represented a yoke of slavery over the necks of the Hellenes and Asia." (Justin, 6,9). In his 12th book, Justin describes the Hellenic uprising against Macedonian rule that arose immediately after Alexander the Great's departure to conquer Asia. Here we read: "After the departure of Alexander from Macedonia, almost all of Greece, with the intention of restoring its freedom, raised an armed uprising..." (12,1). a statement from the most famous Hellenic geographer Strabo (5,26), who, writing about the history of Europe, decisively singles out the Macedonians in relation to the Hellenes: "Leading nations used to be the Hellenes, then the Macedonians and the Romans..." a statement from the ancient author Sozomen, who, regarding the Christianization of the Balkan peoples, which took place during the time of Constantine the Great (306-337), wrote: "...Christians in the west: Hellenes, Macedonians and Illyrians, began to worship safely under the protection of Constantine, who then became the head of the Roman Empire". (Ecclesiastical History, Book II, Chap. II). Wait a minute, weren't the Macedonians "Hellenes"? Why are they mentioned as two separate nations in these statements? And that from ancient authors?
