Yes, it actually doesn't matter. oil filters are quite robust and similar. They are literally still exactly the same as the 1970s design. (same with fuel filters actually.) If you buy a fuel filter for a 2.0 litre zetec, its common for you to receive a fuel filter matched to a 1.8 escort.
i was just thinking to myself that the oil filter seemed to be in a different area... when I did my last car which was the 1.6 TDCI I had to remove a pipe to get to it and it was awkward to fit. I now have a 1.8TDCI so im assuming it should be the same as this video? il soon see i guess.
engine shown is a 1.6 petrol engine, 1.6 tidci its a 27mm socket and filter cap and catraige filter, the pipe you mean is the steel turbo pipe , 10mil bolt above filter and oen lower down
