How to FIX Nintendo Switch Not Turning On or Charging (Easy Method!)

Do you want to know how to fix your nintendo switch not turning on or charging fix? Sometimes your Nintendo switch battery is depleted and it won't charge, how can you get it to charge again? Try taking off the joy con controllers and then getting a USB C charging cable and plug it directly into the wall outlet. Now let you Nintendo switch charge for a few hours or overnight. Now press and hold down the power button, then let go and press the power button 3 times and on the 3rd time hold it down. Hopefully this will help you fix your Switch not turning on. Same here, my console has never run out of battery, actually I only play in tv mode, and still this happened to me, don’t know why but I’m sure it wasn’t battery related, but a software issue, nevertheless, this worked.

REMOVING THE JOYCONS IS NECCESARY. The methods in this video didn't work until I also removed the joycons as shown. After several hours of my Switch not turning on and no charge icon despite following every other step, the charging icon finally showed up a minute after removing the joycons and resetting it.

I removed the joycons and pressed the buttons on them, somehow it turned on. Maybe the buttons were a coincidence but I'd reccomend trying it because it worked for me!

Never throw a console away. Most have a warranty period and certain components can be replaced free of charge, so given the specific issue, you can ship the Nintendo to one of the Nintendo Repair department locations (I think most go out to Redmond, WA) and they'll take a look at it. Years ago, I sent my system to Nintendo Repair and they fixed it. The only thing I paid for was the initial shipping.

Thanks. You save my switch. It doesn't want to turn on. But using your tips by holding power button 10 seconds and tap 3 times and holding it again until it turn on really helps.

This method works perfectly! If you know your switch is already fully charged from keeping it in the dock, you still have to plug the switch into the wall and just hold it for 10 seconds rather than doing the 10 seconds then pressing the power button 3 times

I was in the middle of Smash Ultimate when I pressed the power button or put it to sleep, i cannot remember but I put it on a rocket fish dock and the next day, it wouldn't come on until I connected it to the power brick it came with. I saw the battery icon and hit the power button or sleep button and it came back on. No idea why this happened but I just got it. Hope it doesn't happen again.

Holy sh!t! I was really skeptical, figured it was unlikely going to be this simple given I'd already tried multiple power sources to both the dock and the Switch, plus multiple combinations of holding the power button for a while...
