Cleaning your LG Air Conditioner Air Filter is very simple and convenient. All you need to do is turn off the power and unplug your AC, disassemble the filter. The clean the filter with tap water or a soft brush. Dry the air filter and avoid contact with the sunlight. Do check if the filter is damaged. If it is, you can get it chnaged by the nearest LG service center. FIt back the filter in your AC and enjoy the cool air.

Because the unit is placed so high, it's really difficult to put back the filter for type B. I can't seem to hear clicking sound from the back and so it's not really attached at the back part compared to the front which is easier to attach.

fairly useless, the type A design mentioned here is called type 2 for my unit. What i need to know is how to open the unit to access the coils for cleaning, most importantly without breaking anything

Not informative enough. Should be more detailed. Inserting the filters (type B) is awkward. The video doesn’t help with it.
