Usually, war is talked about in terms of shelling, destruction, advances, retreats, losses, victories, defeats, and so on. However, what rarely makes it into the lenses of journalists' cameras is what constitutes more than half of soldiers' lives - daily life, or the so-called "everyday routine." These aren't popular topics; they don't attract views, reads, resonance, sensations, and so forth.
At times, the daily life of soldiers is no different from the times of the First World War, occasionally aided by modern technologies. But beyond daily life, another topic is even more overlooked: those who provide for it. Often, it's the logistics troops, but more frequently in our reality - volunteers. The volunteer movement is highly diverse, ranging from weaving nets to evacuating the wounded and fallen from the battlefield. Today, the "Khaschi" project aims to showcase several stories about the importance and phenomenon of the Ukrainian volunteer movement, its contribution to our struggle, and those who voluntarily risk everything by heading towards the front because they simply cannot stand aside.
