Very beautiful artistic things there, all those plates and cups. Portugal has its own symbolic art and patterns there, also found in some architecture there. Actually have not visited Portugal but Porto looks like a nice place to go. I like those kinds of medium sized cities. Its also nice that AirBaltic will take you there and also to a lot of other places directly. I saw the list of AirBaltic destinations and its very nice, they will take you to all sorts of places. Me and my girlfriend recently came back from Amsterdam, spent there a few days. Went there with AirBaltic and back with Finnair. Also very nice, a lot of old architecture preserved in Amsterdam just like in Porto or Rīga but each has a different style. Have you been to the Netherlands? One place i would recommend visiting is the canary islands, especially Tenerite and La Palma. And AirBaltic will take you there directly on a 6 hour flight. For history and nature they are very nice. My favorite was La Palma, a very green island full of forests and flowers for hiking. Very popular among German tourists that go hiking there. Tenerife too plus some nice old architecture in towns there. Many very peaceful places there. AirBaltic will also take you to the island of Corfu in Greece. Never been but would like to go. A very green island where Gerald Durrell spent some of his childhood and wrote a book about, I used to read his books as a kid.
There are so many beautiful places in Europe.Yes,I've been to Netherlands, to Amsterdam and some towns.Canary islands will be my destination one day!Porto is nice and the valley of Dorou river.The ocean is magnificent!I'm so happy I've visited Portugal.
