When I watched this fight live I was screaming at my screen to finish him. I was legitimately upset with Nate on a personal level lol. I truly could not believe he threw that away. Unreal.

It's like the slap pushing their head kinda stuns em then the hook rocks em. Leon's head was wobbling on his shoulders. If Nate wasn't bleeding so bad and had like 30 more seconds it's possible Nate wins by TKO. Yeah absolutely insane. But the round ended, and I don't think Leon was in any serious trouble. He wasn't on the ground getting GnP'ed, he was still on his feet and he recovered pretty well. But still, that was pretty scary for Leon. But he managed to pull through at the last minute. And props to Diaz, that is some insane cardio and heart. True warrior. To take a beating and still come back like that. Insane

All those triathlons mean he’s probably 95% slow-twitch muscle. Great for jiu-jitsu and cardio and toughness, both physical and mental, but you’re completely right that he’s about as explosive as a candle. He’s still awesome in every fight, of course. I don't know about that. Nate just isn't very good. He'd get smashed by Usman and Covington. He only does well against strikers. Immediately when someone knows how to grapple, he gets outpointed and smacked left and right.
