The great Ștefan Neaga Commission is our pride!
In 1945 Ștefan Neaga wrote the melody for the Anthem of Moldova SSR, for which the poets Emil Bukov and Bogdan Istru created the lyrics. In 1980, the anthem was completely reworked in the De-Stalinization process. There was no known contemporary recording of the vocal original version of the anthem until January 2019, when a recreated version of Neaga's original composition (with instrumentation and lyrics) was recorded by the self-titled "Ștefan Neaga Commission" and uploaded to RU-vid by anthem enthusiast DeroVolk.
