If you're surprised to see the Hare's apartment, the situation is that by the year 1984 (the year when the 14th episode was released) the Hare moved to a very fashionable apartment which replaced his old one on the balcony of which he was merrily watering flowers in the first episode. You could see Hare's portrait on the wall judging by which it's pretty obvious that he lives separately from his parents and is on his own. It's a really rare thing, I guess you have never seen a kid living separately from his parents. :) The music which plays when the Wolf is driving his car is the song "Get up, Action" by the disco band Digital Emotion followed up by "Go Go Yellow Screen" by the same band. The scene where the Wolf uses a spacemen training rocket features a song "Grass by a house" (Трава у дома) by the band "Earth people" (Земляне). It's a spoof of all the requests to send Wolf and Hare to the outer space. :)

@@d00ditsjeremy As far as I remember, the first 13 episodes were released once a year. I was born in 1970 and I can remember that I first saw the 8th episode in the cinema in 1975, the 9th - on TV in 1976, the 10th - in the cinema in 1977, the 11th in 1978 and the 12th in 1979 - both in the cinema, and the 13th - on TV in August of 1980 right after the Moscow Olimpic Games had closed (the creators of "Ну, погоди!" didn't manage to finish their episode on time to show it during the opening). Then the big interval happened between 13 and 14, but the 15th episode was shown only half a year later: on the New Year night between 1984 and 1985. The 16th came up in 1986, and that was it. I personally didn't like the 16th episode at all, but maybe I was getting older, that’s why. What happened next I can't tell you, because the original stuff of animators changed (the director passed away) and the episodes the new stuff were releasing in the 90's looked worse and worse and nobody liked them, so they stopped. There's a new season coming soon, but I'm afraid it will be no better.

It's a sailor jargon meaning "attention!", but no one really knows where this actually comes from. The best etymological estimation of its origin is that it's a bastardized version of English call "fall under!" or, what's actually more likely, the Dutch call "van onderen!".

During the Great Patriotic War, the word "polundra" served as the battle cry of the Soviet marines.

Jeremy, you're a bit wrong, the Wolf didn't bring the real (alcohol-containing) champagne to a teen. There's satire. The Wolf had brought some no-alcohol apple soda with the trademark 'Cider' (tm). The bottle's label says CIDER, not 'champagne'. And that isn't real alcohol-containing cider either. Such soda, mostly for kids, was fabricated during 1980s, in champagne bottles and with 'champagne' corks and caps, _but_ this 'Cider'(tm) was defective, excessively carbonated, with dangerously high pressure inside the bottle, and when people were trying to open such a thing, there were accidents in real life, even several children were slightly injured. Therefore, the production of such soda was discontinued. This is what the script writer scoffs at.

Волк креативный психопат-неудачник, возможно (судя по навыкам) воевал в спецназе или в Вагнере, но заяц застеняивый и улыбчивый шизофреник, он убивает просто так, между прочим, по ходу пьесы, очень двуличный и обманчивый персонаж... Я за волка.
