@@myaccount__7269 It goes up them where it wouldn't without the extra battery. However, last night with the headlight on, it broke the control board - a common problem. Thankfully I'm getting a replacement from Amazon but this is a fundamental issue with all of the ES2 + Extra Battery or ES4 so it will break again. I will be more careful with the replacement not to put it under strain.

South Korea, 50 million people in a space 1/3 the size of California and a LOT of cars. The ppm of 2.5 micron particles is regularly very bad. Simply putting on an n95 mask on cuts out much of the pollution. Makes it far easier to breathe. I have a half mask respirator review that is a p100 and it too was so much nicer than breathing in the pollution.

thanks for the good words! Glad you like it. Mine has 440 miles on it and it was starting to fall apart in the gooseneck, i fixed it since and will have a video up on that shortly. Stay tuned for that. Just FYI tho, the issues is essentially that there are three screws near that foot pedal thing (under the plastic) that seem almost not long enough.... they may have changed that since the earlier scooters. Anyway, i changed out the screws and its back to new. Again, i will have a video about that soon. Hopefully within the next two weeks.

Bingo! I ❤️ Korea. The general population is very kind compared to the US (bowing, handing things with two hands, not yelling at Walmart lines because they should be going faster .....) Air quality is rough tho. I hope it gets better sooner than later.

yeah man. the PPM count is regularly over 80 and days where its 100+ are not uncommon. 150 has been hit quite a few times as well. The mask i was wearing was specifically made to filter up to 95 percent of 2.5m particulate matter. Not made for surgery... I bet it would work though.

(and more than a kwh gone since I acquired it 6 months ago) Something seems to be amiss with my power gauge too... its always reading 120kw when departing traffic lights ;) yeah..... new front tires and who knows what else are in my near future. The hug thing.... yes... ha. As for the 120 kW, i only read that when its half charged or more. When its lower it wont read that high. As for degradation, i am showing zero at nearly 9k miles but i dont charge to 100 percent and let it sit... we frequently only let it sit at a fairly lower than 100 percent rate of charge. I greatly dislike hearing about larger than normal battery degradation. Have you gone from near zero (4 oe 6 miles left) and charged to full with the 220? i wonder if it needs to do that to re-calibrate/measure the true pack capacity. How are you getting torque pro too read the kwh? i am curious. i do have that app but i suppose i just havn't tried it with the spark EV

yup... well.. with 330+ miles on it it is still very usable. It has gone thru the tread so far, and i still think i am going to re-tread (cut grooves into tire) sometime. I dont regret the purchase but if you plan on doing a whole lot more than 330 miles, i would maybe consider one that has a replaceable tire. Maybe an Ebike at that point? But they are so big... hard to choose man.... hard to choose. Good luck with it!

Christian Jordan you know, its not that bad, I now have 260km and the tread still looks really good plus I just found a slightly used front wheel in ebay for 50usd.

Im working on an update video where i fix some screws and talk about some issues. It has gone well over a few weeks for me. I have also contacted segway about warranty stuff. For instance, it no longer operates appropriately with the light on. Been waiting a day on their response. Dang. Good luck with the search.i think Segway is simply a brand name and these scooters are made in a factory in China. Get a friend who speaks, reads and writes Chinese and they may be able to google their way to the factory's info. That's all I can imagine to do for parts finding :/

Nice! Nope. Just one socket and it charges both. The original charge port will be physically covered.

Should be good. I am working on a video where I fix the front end bolts, they break and or get loose over time. About the 400 mile mark is where I did it. Not too bad.

I use the scooter every workday, folding clip broke because I smashed it against something. Still folds tho just won't clip together inm the folded position

Still works. Loaned it out to a friend around the (300-350 mile mark?) and it blew something where having the headlight on makes it unable to propel itself. So no riding with the light on. Got over 700 miles on it if I remember right... I use it occasionally.

Both at the same time. Be sure you fully charge it, I say. But yeah, it's both at the Sam's time and you will notice more power.

Well, if I run the headlight now it doesn't work right. The throttle and brake don't work right, so I just keep the be light off. Other than that it works fine still.

The mechanical linkage where the scooter hinges tho, that has needed some maintenance. Keep an eye on that stuff

Two years later, I still use it. It weakens around the connections at the deck/need to keep up on screw maintenance. The new one with the built in charger (segway max?) Is probably a better choice.

@@TRYtoHELPyou the new one is really expensive. I live maybe 1.5 miles from a public transit and that's the farthest I would take it. Maybe 2 miles to the gym. How was it riding over gravel or rough spots? Generally I'm looking for something that can help save Uber money.

Have you tried using it all day? Can it last about 8hrs?

TRY to HELP you, yeah, it’s from full to empty. The scooter is supposed to be new. Is there any setting that has to be done from the app or something like that?

I don't remember having to do anything special. I just had two batterys showing after the fact. Does your app show two batteries? 25km may be accurate if you are on the throttle heavy and it's aged.... Maybe? Not sure man. Not sure.

@@TRYtoHELPyou cool! Thank you for the review, I decided to buy an external battery now. I grew up in Japan. It looks almost identical :) are escooters legal in Korea? In Japan they are very illegal. ( in fact any vehicle except cars and bicycles are illegal, even things like skateboards and roller blades are illegal, so I moved to Finland where it is totally legal :D).

All I know is the headlight has to be on for that to happen

This is interesting. So i have put 300 miles on mine now and its holding up well, i would say. I put nearly 200 lbs on it total. I do not mistreat the thing though. I have had a couple loose screws here and there (mentioned in this video) but they were simple things that just needed to be tightened. my power button seems to be built well and can handle being drenched in pouring rain and then be left out in the rain for a bit.... My rear fender is holding up really well, i have only had to stop on it maybe 10 times so far.. Even though the tires are wearing out throught the tread portion, i still see it lasting at least another 300 miles at the rate i am going, and the rear tire is not nearly as bad. So if i can find a way to rotate the tires, i may do that. As for a community of owners "dumping" their ES1s and ES2s... this would be something to see. are they simply throwing them away? also, these things come with a warranty. Send it in for warranty. As long as the scooter was used as intended there should be no problem.

In our vernacular, dumping means selling them to others who appreciate the loss in resale value. We do have a dealership here (Segway Philippines) handling the product and although their support has been admirable, the stats don't lie vs other competitors like the Xiaomi M365 to even high end scooters like the Dualtrons or even the Weped. Just fair warning not to abuse this scooter. The Philippines has generally poor roads and we're in the middle of monsoon season so any scooter that survives a year here gets top marks and will probably work even better in countries with better infrastructure.

25 mins at full speed up a slope, maybe is normal, but that does seem a bit low. Cycle it a few times? Not sure

TRY to HELP you ya I Just drove it around and two More full charges. Now it’s even Worse. It loses power then It kicks in on charge and completely dies around 50% charge. I’m Getting around 2 miles of use before totally dead

Once balanced after install, they both discharge equally.

So you gotta go very slow when you turn, but yes I have ridden this scooter a fair amount in pouring rain. Fairly grippy road.

Mine goes nowhere near 30 mph. Maybe 16 to 19 with the extended battery.
