With the release of update 0.9.18 and the appearance of light tanks of the tenth level in the game, this vehicle moved a step higher, but these are not all the changes that affected the T49 World of Tanks, the vehicle acquired more HP, visibility, and became more mobile, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves .
It’s worth starting with the fact that this American boasts one of the best safety margins among its classmates, and in addition to this, the T49 received a simply amazing review, initially it was as much as 410 meters.
Unfortunately, like most light tanks, the T49's survivability characteristics leave much to be desired. The point is that we have very weak armor at our disposal, which can be repaired by any enemy encountered without any difficulty, and landmines are very likely to cause us full damage.
When rolling out the T49 tank into battle, it is important to understand that this is a lean vehicle; it has compact dimensions, a short body, but at the same time a tall silhouette, due to which camouflage performance suffers. This means that our stealth is good, but not the best, which is why the T49 WoT does a poor job of providing passive light.
Of course, such a strong lack of armor must be compensated for by something, and it must be said that mobility is one of the strongest aspects of this vehicle. The T49 World of Tanks is capable of developing a very high maximum speed, it has excellent maneuverability, and with the release of patch 0.9.18 it received a significant increase in its already good dynamics, so now we have almost a rocket in our hands.
First, let's pay attention to the famous 152-mm high explosive, the main feature of which is its huge one-time damage. Of course, the tank pays for the powerful T49 alphastry with a long reload, but in this case it’s stupid to talk about damage per minute, not only because of the reload.
The fact is that you will shoot mainly with land mines, and they, as you know, have very weak penetrating ability. That is, the T49 World of Tanks cannot consistently cause damage with this gun, and even cumulative guns do not solve this problem, because their penetration also leaves much to be desired.
Another drawback of this barrel is its terrible accuracy. The T49 WoT's high-explosive weapon has a huge spread, a painfully long time to aim, and no stabilization, which makes the process of dealing damage even more ineffective and random.
The second T49 gun deserves no less attention and is a regular gun with standard LT-9 one-time damage, a good rate of fire and decent damage per minute, which without equipment and perks is approximately 2400 units, which is an excellent result.
Moreover, the T49 9.18, or rather this barrel, acquired higher penetration rates with the release of the patch. You can easily deal damage to any vehicle using your advantage in mobility. However, it won’t hurt to carry some gold cumulatives with you; after all, sometimes increased penetration can come in handy.
The 90 mm gun will please the owner of the T49 World of Tanks with good accuracy parameters. Of course, our spread is quite large, and the convergence may not be to everyone’s liking, but good stabilization allows you to deal damage while moving, and this is worth a lot.
Summing up the weapons, I would like to note that the high explosive is a purely fun option, but it will not be possible to show consistently high results with it. We will equip the T49 tank with a conventional gun, gaining stability and enormous flexibility in choosing tactics, and this guide will continue from the same position.
