Thanks for the lesson! I like the word order topic too. 1. Eric, the guy who helped Claire with her leg phoned her that day; 2. Claire found e-mails from her friend Sarah and from her parents; 3. Eric told Claire a story about his granny who broke her leg and got partly disabled; 4. Claire’s definitely going to be fine. Her injury is not dangerous at all.

1. At first, she got a call from her friend Anna and she said that she would come over in the evening. After that, she got another call and it was Erik, the savior guy. 2. Claire found two emails in her mailbox. The first one was from disgustingly happy Sarah and the second one was from her parent, wanted her to visit uncle Jurgen. 3. Erik told Claire a story about his grandma. She'd broken her leg and didn't get any help because there was no hospital nearby. As a result, grandma's bones grew crooked and she couldn't walk without a stick. 4. In my opinion, she didn't get a leg fracture so everything is going to be OK. Maybe she will be a little happier when Erik calls next time.

Thanks for your grateful work! I remembered the mention "fall in love". Can I say FALL IN LOVE instead of ARE IN Love? Now I'd like to answer the questions: 1) Anna phoned Claire that day. 2) She found emails from her girlfriend, Sarah and her parents. 3) Eric told her a story about his granny. His granny broke her leg but she didn't go to hospital after that as there were none near her village. 4) I think that Claire will be OK!

1) She had two calls. It was Anna and Erik. Anna wanted to come over to Claire in the evening and Eric wanted to know how Claire felt. 2) It was an email from Sarah and from Clair's parents. 3) He told story about his grandma. Once she broke her leg but she didn't go to hospital after that because there was no hospital near her village. As result, the bones grew croocked and she could walk only with a stick. 4) Yes. I'm sure! She will be alright and she will have a relationship with Eric))

1. Anna called Claire that day and promised to come iven in the evening. But not only Annd called her. When Claire was watching a TV-show, the phone rang. Claire thought that it was Anna, but unexpectedly it turned out to be Erik. 2. In her mailbox, Claire found email from Sarah, who shared that she with Simon got matching T-shirts with 'S&S' print. Sarah and her news was disgustingly happy for Claire because what Claire felt absolutely didn't correspond to Sarah's happiness. Claire was outraged, maybe next time they would have 'S&S' tattoos or something, but she was just in a not good mood. Claire also got an email from her parents who wrote that they wanted Claire to go to Berlin to visit her uncle. 3. Erik told Claire the not very inspiring story about his granny, who also once broke her leg. She didn't go to hospital after that, as there were none near her village. Unfortunately, the bones grew crooked and she could walk only with a stick. Maybe, he was just so worried about Claire and wanted her to go to hospital, just in case. 4. I think so. Claire told that the symptoms of fracture hadn't been fulfilled,so far there are only the symptoms of concussion, that is the most important, so I hope everything is going to be OK with Claire and her ankle!)

Елена Викторовна, у меня вопрос: почему в этом предложении I was very grateful for that - very не на своем месте? I was grateful for that very much/ как?Спасибо за ответ и за роскошную практику!
@okenglish-practice
@okenglish-practice 3 года назад
Very относится к grateful. Также нужно учитывать, что very much стоит после глаголов действия. В нашем предложении нет глагола действия, есть be, который живет по своим правилам.

Елена Викторовна здравствуйте! Спасибо Вам за урок!) Подскажите пожалуйста в предложении с the bones grew crooked Crooked - это прилагательное и относится к существительному bones, правильно ли думать что с глаголом grow, как и с глаголом become, be, get после идёт прилагательное? Составлял много примеров но ни в одном не удалось придти к наречию после этого глагола. Спасибо!

Here are my answers to Unit 109 questions. 1. That day Anna called Claire and promised to come over in the evening. 2. Claire checked her email and found an email from Sarah in her mailbox. 3. Her rescuer Eric also called Claire. He was worried about Sarah and wanted to know how she was feeling after hurting her ankle. Besides, Eric also told Claire the story of his grandmother who lived in the village and also broke her leg. Unfortunately, my grandmother's bones were crooked because she didn't go to the hospital and she could only walk with a stick. 4. As far as I'm concerned for a woman like Claire at age 26 it's high time to start a family, so I have a glimmer hope that this plan should be good. Elena Viktorovna, it seems to me that only You can answer this question since the story of Claire's entire life is in your head.

Thanks, this story became real in my head. To tell the truth, I have a hard time finishing the story because of the twist of the plot. I want to create a little drama, but also to write a happy end. Well, now I see that someone will suffer. I'll try to figure out something to make it not so dull.
