Понимаю что никому не интересно и это ничего не изменит, но в предложении sitting in the living room... это деепричастие, а не причастие, отличие начинается в вопросе: деепричастие - что делая, что сделав. Причастие - какой, какая, какие и обозначает признак предмета по ДЕЙСТВИЮ. По этому "сидя в" ( что делая ), деепричастие.
