I wonder if there is someone in Russia right now listening to some American exercise record the same way we are listening to this one here in the States. The strange thing is that you don't normally listen to exercise music just to listen to it, but the Soviets made one record that some of us find suitable for that purpose.

Wish I could DL this as a legal mp3. Just to support and thank the musician(s), and to let her know ( if she doesnt allready) that she has many admirers out here. I'm not from Russia but my parents were growing up behind the iron curtain and I myself remember when Soviet Union fall. Before you just could not go to a mall and buy a record from western world. It was hard to go abroad too so it was very rare to get any record (even rock and roll) and if some manged to get it everybody have share it. But in 89/90 everything has changed. When i first saw western TV - believe me I was watching and listening to everything. Even TVshopping and aerobic channels;)

BachiloDmitry told me in a comment that were Western bandds available actually on the Melodia label such as Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Deep Purple and The Beatles (who did record a song called "Back In The USSR") I'm guessing anything on the Soviet state label was state approved and probably taken from a Western pressing smuggled in by a diplomat and a Polish friend who grew up under Communism also somehow managed to get Western records (whether bootleg or state label I never asked)
