In clog the video looks life less and you can only do colour grading

It's normal. It happens because you are shooting at the most flat profile, and you have information of highlights, midtones and shadows for color grading.

Please how can I get this Clog the one provided on link description is not working properly

@@deuxjeanfilm I've made two videos about it already, but it boils down to basic math. If you have 8 bits per color channel, you have 256 possible levels of each primary color. When you compress highlights/shadows or you otherwise modify the gamma curve used to decide how to convert the 12+ bits per channel of raw sensor data to 8 bits per channel, you are storing the picture in a way that is different from the final product and still limited to 8 bits per channel. Humans start to see color banding easily around 6 bits per channel. LOG footage must be corrected before it is usable and almost all image corrections involve losing data relative to the original data. Changing from a LOG gamma to a standard screen gamma means discarding some of the information as portions of the spectrum are stretched and compressed to apply the change. Furthermore, compression exacerbates the damage to any subtle gradients to improve compression, so you end up not only storing poor color fidelity in your 8-bit footage, but you also increase visibility of compression artifacts when you perform the curve corrections in post. That's why LOG colors look like crap and LOG quality is reduced relative to a standard profile, and why LOG shooters make their colors go "POP!" - because then the bad colors look like they might have been an artistic choice instead of a big mistake.

Who said it's 8 bit? Maybe they used magic lantern and recorded in 10 or 12 bits?

@@ArthurD ML has its own raw format. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have the ability to make the hardware H.264 AVC encoder support outputs it isn't built with the hardware required to support.
