They could easily make the same if not more money through sponsorships with career mode. Like choosing shirt sponsors or kit makers. And ea could make so many cool cutscenes with players training and staff and press conferences and meetings with the board. Career mode has so much potential and it's so disappointing to see ea absolutely murder it so they can make easy money with ultimate team

EA have probably spent more money on this trailer than they have on updating Career Mode. Yes, the European competitions are a nice addition, but that’s just cosmetic, we need more. Talking of cosmetics, the amount of generic faces make playing in any other league except the EPL (and now La Liga) feel like a PS1 game. I’m not sure how you get a career mode like Fifa 07 and all the things you could do on it that year, to the trash we’ve had for the last 10+ years. The game mode has gone backwards. For all the money they make from FUT, career mode is still the most played game mode. That should tell you a lot. EA really doesn’t care about it’s customers. There are so many ideas they could take from Football Manager and how immersive that game is. I don’t understand it, update the game mode and more people will buy the game, it’s really that simple, it will make them even more money.

Quite cool that you can get a sneak peak at the final chapter of Alex Hunter's story in The Journey but I'll avoid that because I don't want to know any of that until I play it. Shame there's no Chelsea to play as in the demo but given we're not in the Champions League this season it's not a surprise. Europa League is where it's at!
