CHERNOBYL. Declassified KGB archives. They lied for 33 years!

Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) published part of the secret documents about the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant from its archives.
This is an unprecedented event for the so-called "CIS countries" and a very good step in realizing what the Soviet government was. A lot of documents in the archive relate to the Chernobyl station and the elimination of the consequences of the 1986 accident.

We pretty much knew this already. USSR tried covering up the Chernobyl disaster as much as they could until a station in Sweden was getting unusually high radiation readings from Chernobyl. In the meantime the USSR risked contaminating all of Europe with attempting to cover it up. The USSR Government was more concerned with saving face of the political leaders than they were the well being of world's population.

I use to live in Korzortev east of Pripyat, the radiation cloud passed over our town and rained down upon us. The only reason we knew something was wrong was the ducks and geese began walking with their heads leaning back over like they were crazy. They were like thos because they had eaten their food which has been outside and cover in fallout which destroyed their nervous systems. All the birds, both wild and domesticated died within a week. Every bird in the sky fell to the ground, the leaves fell from the trees because the trees were covered in fallout and died, the trees and plants all died, everything died.

@ Edward Cardozo a Nuclear disaster is minimally a several thousand year problem. Earth can heal from fossil fuel disasters and so can man. The same is not true for nuclear disasters. man can not build a structure that can withstand even basic natural weather events but he’s dumb enough to put a nuclear reactor in it. Man can’t build a vessel that can contain nuclear waste for even a few decades much less indefinitely but he’s dumb enough to put it in the ground. To think nuclear is safe is to neglect a whole heck of a lot.

Daisy, you are right. We have been lied to about everything by the 1% who want us all dead via “depopulation,” and there’s a little experiment concerning that going on right now. Cancer is a big thing about which we’ve been fed nothing but lies. There are many inexpensive, natural cures available for cancer. I know people who have healed themselves of it using the parasite cleanse listed in the book, The Cure for All Cancers, by Hulda Regehr Clarke, and it’s also listed for free on her Website. They also alkalinized their bodies by eating alkaline (which includes most fresh fruits and vegetables), as opposed to acidic (just about everything else), foods. Some naturalpathic and osteopathic (as opposed to allopathic - those with an MD) doctors say no disease can exist in an alkaline body. Please check on some of the natural cancer cures out there. Many are available free online or from books at the library but are never mentioned in the lamestream media since cancer is a multi-billion dollar industry for big pharma and the MDs that send their patients to those products and treatments that rarely work. I wish you all the best and pray you return to perfect health.

He showed them to me and marveled as to the incredpoor construction of the plants AND the substandard methods of handling, processes, and construction of nuclear power plants in the USSR. US plants as a standard had to be enclosed and withstand a direct hit by 2 missiles (ei; so many crushing foot-pounds of pressure) while inside had reflective shielding. In the USSR, there were no such protections. Nuke plant workers were expected to work and live for ~5-7 years before being so irradiated as to die.

US shield buildings (the big cement thing that you see) are not designed to withstand 2 missiles. How could that be a design item? What kind of missile? How large? What area of impact. The inherent problems that stymied the initial response could be laid at the feet of the political commissar's, people who wielded enormous power over the humble worker and they had literally the power of life and death, the ability to send reluctant citizens and their families to gulag becoming known as political or capitalist saboteurs. Both the KGB and the GRU had enormous presence in every nook and cranny of Soviet industry and they used blackmail and threats to turn workers into stool pigeons again with the threat of gulag and these political monsters feared no foe so to speak knowing that to even question an order from such would end up badly for the worker. The security services evidently paranoid wanted a lid kept on it all and so they got in the way of a response in the vain hope they could contain the whole debacle hence why it took so long for Russia to admit anything had happened.

A few years ago, when the internet was young, I looked up and read an article about the small US towns conversations about the Constitution. And a few towns refused to sign the original paperwork, they just kind of fell in line. But the biggest question was, who will the people answer to? Can the federal government make towns send men to war? The answer was no. Then they began rewriting it and soon, if the federal government declared war, men could be forced inducted. That's how we got so many troops in WW2. This change actually changed something very important. You see, before WW2, the highest governmental office in the land was ... are you ready for this ... your town supervisor! If the governor stopped into town, he had to park where the Town Supervisor said! Just like the President. The Feds and States were not supposed to be in control of the country! There was wisdom in this. He was the one who collected taxes and forwarded to the state and feds. And if he did not like what they were doing with the money, guess what. They didn't get money from that town. If you do not like what your town was doing with your tax dollars, you had one option other then running for office. Move. Then, when war was declared, in order to force the draft, the Feds announced the Pyramid of power where the people were at the top with their Town Supervisor, would be flipped, giving the Federal power lead, then states, then the towns. And when the war was over, they left it that way. And man has it ruined our country. Because 'we the people' are now 'we the pawns of government'. I have searched for that article, and it appears someone did not like it and removed it. Imagine that ...

I am not sure that any of this is very new. The culture was still a closed CCCP one albeit on the cusp of transition. Yes the plants, of which a number continued to run effectively and efficiently until only very recently, lacked “inherent” safety but no plant will survive the determined disregard for the published safety procedures that we are told occurred that night. My car has numerous safety features and there are procedures for its safe use. If I disregard those procedures it’s a lethal weapon but only as a result of my actions and not those of the cars design. These plants had many sound and cost effective design advantages over their often somewhat over complex western cousins. Not least in the use of low enrichment fuels and the inherent engineering simplicity employed. Had the management ensured the application of procedures rather than acting with grotesque negligence, then I dare say that most of us would never have heard of this type of reactor or the entire Chernobyl complex. The west has often sneered at soviet era technology in the past only to find that it had merits unseen at the time. Procedures are part of the design and are not optional without extensive management of change processes.

@NickFrom1228 2 года назад
True, you cannot keep it dammed forever, however there is not such thing as overflow in the fukushima situation. It's all groundwater, not a river, but it does flow which also means it can flow around the plant (and does) and some does make it into the facility. As for storage they have been storing water and once they got the ice dam in place the rate of storage dropped dramatically since much less water was infiltrating the plant. They can filter out the radionuclides except for tritium. The water will be dumped into the ocean which is full of tritium already, but it will cause a local spike where they dump it and that wont be good. They plan to release it over the course of decades to alleviate local radioactivity levels being too high. The levels will be under that specified under international law. That explains the waste water. We will have to see how this plays out but it can be fixed if there is the will. Chernobyl's problems were no secret at the time it was built. As an engineer working as a government contractor, Soviet construction was legend. Dad had us in stiches as kids talking about the 2 headed kids born for 200 miles around, other than that, no problem !

You should do a video on Fukushima, it’s location and the uncanny timing of Covid. Low grade radiation poisoning has the same symptoms and based on the nuclear plant location would have spread across the entire world 🤔

It has already been disclosed that the plant director ordered an extremely risky experiment which lead to the incident. However one also consider that the former soviet union does have a monopoly on hiding damning information. Most recently the japanese gov't has grossly downplayed the 2011 Fukishima meltdowns.
@teamjono69
@teamjono69 2 года назад
Yes it was really an accident. If it wasn't an accident then it would have been done for gain. It cost the USSR an insane amount to money and lives to clear it up, and they are still paying financially for it even today. They gained nothing and lost a lot, so yes, it was an accident.

Mind you this was NOT the worst nuclear accident in the USSR... the worst that I know of was a mountain in which they placed lots and lots of nuclear waste... that exploded back in the time period of 1950's to the 1970's... I do not know exactly when it happened.

I studied Chernobyl at University and read many books on the disaster so I'm "In the know" about Chernobyl compared to 99.9% of people watching this video. My conclusion after my studies is that Chernobyl was the tip of the iceberg of the Soviet Empire.

I've read many books in university so "I'm in the know." Explanation: I read the books I was forced to read by my biased professors. I'm smarter than you because I spent tens of thousands of dollars rather than going to the library for cents on the dollar. My opinion is what matters. I'm in debt up to my eye balls for a piece of paper not fit for my toilet. While the person fixing my toilet is making 3x what I do.🤣 👆

The Yank who is speaking on here should talk to the sheep farmers in Wales (that's the country on the Western side of the UK mainland) . The radioactive cloud from Chernobyl gave North Western Europe and us in the UK radioactive fall-out in the form of radioactive rain. The Beef and Lamb the we raise in Wales was slaughtered and the land had to be left fallow for 3 years. Do you know , it's like Putin really doesn't give a dam about anything other than what he wants ?!! A prayer for Ukraine and it's people who are at the mercy of a greedy , selfish little KGB agent. God help the World and it's people .

At that point in history Putin was a KGB officer who did as he was told, so I’m not sure how you blame him for Chernobyl? He may have been instrumental in covering it up but it surely want his decision. That came from someone above him!

There is nothing new in this video. We knew all already 1986 in München - especially the lack of understanding of the dynamics of a carbon moderated reactor. I measured the fall out and dumped all flower boxes from the Veranda. Until today wild boar meat hunted in south Germany has to be checked and quite often has to be disposed off due to high radioactive contamination.
