@bangoramas All native cultures are related. All people are branches of one tree. But this song sounds very very close to Greek. Listen to my favorite songs, or other traditional Greek songs, and i think you shall agree. I personally feel very close to Siberian people, something like i have come from among them. And personally i believe that civilisation has started from the ancient Altaic tribes; if you can translate and study my website...
i have seen this group, they have visited my city, i saw also their rehearsal. This is one of their best songs, and all of their songs are great. Can someone explain what it is about? I feel it is a ceremonial song to God to help increase fish and game and facilitate fishing and hunting.
Renbushi, what you are saying is not completely true. I know for certain that two of the people in this video are Chukchi and one man is itelmen and the rest are koryak I think. Itelmen songs still exist. And so do dances. A lot of them have been russianized but they are still thriving.
Just about everything Russianize since Russia pushed out Siberians from their territorial. Chukchi people, flat face with flat nose, they were all Siberians. When Cossacks arrived Kamchatka Peninsula with armies, local Kamchatka natives did not win the war. Ever since Russian colonized Kamchatka, Native populations shrank and they couldn’t preserve their heritages under Russian oppressions and they were nomadic continuously moved around. These people dance like Russian or European Gypsies. Korean and Japanese ancestors used live at the Kamchatka peninsula . Our ancestors did not dance like these guys, but our ancestors dance a lot like Powwow.
