בתכנית - חלום ירושלים, של מוזיאון מגדל דוד, פגשו בני העדה האתיופית, ותיקים ועולים, עם סיפור תולדות ירושלים, ועם האירועים המרכזיים שהתרחשו במהלך 3,000 שנים בעיר שאליה נכספו. המוזיאון הכשיר בקורס הדרכה מרוכז ומקצועי סטודנטים בני העדה האתיופית להדריכת קבוצות מבוגרים מקרב העדה בנושא תולדות ירושלים והזיקה של יהודי אתיופיה לירושלים לאורך השנים. דגש הושם על העצמה ופיתוח כישורי מנהיגות בקרב משתתפי הקורס עצמם.
Ethiopian Jews at the Tower of David
For centuries, Ethiopian Jews dreamt of touching the stones of the city of gold and pray at the western wall in Jerusalem.The "Jerusalem Dream" Project at the Tower of David Museum brings the Ethiopian community, veterans and new immigrants alike, to get familiar with the history of Jerusalem and the major events that occurred in it's 3,000 years History. The Museum offers a special training program for talented Ethiopian students training them to become Tour Guides in Jerusalem. They then can work as tour guides for the many Ethiopian groups who come to the Museum to learn about Jerusalem and their heritage. Emphasis is placed on empowerment and development of leadership skills.
