הדס היא המטופלת הראשונה שמשתתפת בניסוי הקליני שנערך באיכילוב, לחומר שפיתחה חברת IONIS האמריקאית, לטיפול במחלת קרויצפלד-יעקב.
הדס, שאובחנה בשלב מוקדם מאוד בזכות היכרות מוקדמת של המשפחה עם המחלה אצל דודתה, זכתה לטיפול בשלב מוקדם מאוד, כשהיא עדיין מתפקדת טוב, אך סובלת מבעיות זכרון.
כבר עברו יותר מ-4 חודשים מאז האבחון, ועדיין הדס במצב יציב יחסית ומתפקדת, ויש תקווה לטוב.
הטיפול הראשון ניתן ב-2.5, וב-26.6 קיבלה את המנה השניה.
