Dr sahib meri beti ko kabhi doc bnnna hi pasand nahi thaa. Main nay as traditional pakistani mother forced my daughter in mbbs .she done 1st year mbbs. But she forgot to smile. She was always fedup during that one year. So i turned decision to 180 degree.now she is studying electrical and electronic engineering in CYPRUS. Alhamdulilah
Great analysis doc. Here's my story. I did my Fsc Pre medical in 2011. Tbh, I never had that passion for studying medicine. At such young age I went as per the advice and decision of my parents. After doing Fsc I wasn't able to secure a seat in a government medical college. Still my parents wanted me to go for private admission or to study BDS. But I refused as one of my teachers advised me to go for chartered accountancy. Alhamdulilah, that decision changed all the dynamics of my life. I qualified CA in 2016. Currently I'm working in one of the most reputable MNC's in Pakistan. Lastly, Salary and income isn't something to be disclosed as per the ethical codes of our profession ; ) 😅

I got 95% marks in my matric and started fsc with pre engineering but i was so much critisized by my fellows and seniors who ask me to change my field daily. i was fed up with their behavour. I could not focus on my studies and was about to quit my studies. There are too much patients and much less doctors Main problem is that since long tertiary care hospitals are not being built up. These girls are applying for training slots. Since ages Pindi islamabad have same old four hospitals BBH, HFH, PIMS and poly clinic and DHQ is forcibly made into teaching category. However there are lot of private hospitals serving public needs and any times jobs of medical officers remain available. Actually more tertiary care hospitals need to be build up and standards of education and training need to be upgraded and its not possible without political will. Here every new government faces protests from day one of its take over and keeps fighting to stay in power till its tenure is completed so what the hell they can do for the country
The rate at which population has grown, only twin cities of islamabad need at least four big teaching hospitals, two for each city but our rulers keep fighting with each other or on foreign tours. They can spend billions in few days for marriages in most expensive world cities and at home but can’t contribute for a cause in their own country.

Great analysis but Dr Sahib it is even not easy to get into other professions even into Civil Services without Safarash. I think parents are sending their children into medical profession because the selection process into medical schools is less corrupt. With growing population we still need doctors. Again the problem is that our doctors do not want to serve in the remote and undeserved areas. Our Govt should facilitate our young doctors to work initially in the remote areas of Pakistan.

What you said is correct if one pursues a career of medicine for making money etc. However, medicine is one of the most notable professions if taken for humanitarian purposes. It also makes one to go through some strict regime which contributes immensely in professional and personal development. However, you have raised a valid point.

You are 98% saying right. My daughter took 97% marks into matric. I just asked once beta doctor banana Aapka passion to nhi she said no. Then I asked her to joi Punjab College for pre engg. There my daughter spent two years with 100% scholarship with best education. Then after doing her FSc I advised her to take admission in Fast University. By the grace of Allah She has completed her BCS from there and before her convocation she started job into one of the best software house of Pakistan with a very handsome salary. Now I share why didn't I wish that she should go for MBBS: 1. MBBS after five years isn't a complete degree. 2. The environment of our govt hospitals long long duty timings and our awam and condition of govt hospitals. 3. For females most recommended field is gyne where I feel men are most experts and professional and have good fame. 4. After marriage if she isn't allowed for job or practice then for washing bartan and clothes there are several options. 5. I think in a very very limited seats we shouldn't do some experiment just for the sake of a label that she is a doctor but you aren't allowed to serve due to any reason. 6. It is far better that we should give some professional/technical some sort of skills or degree for the sake of securing the future of our daughters sply after marriage she never feels any sort of dependency. Dr Sahib has given a lot of options all are very effective and easy to handle.

It's very sad to listen this, but this is a bitter truth. Someone very close to me, is a certified doctor, she is the brightest, intelligent girl, it was her dream to to become a doctor, now she is doing a job in reputed hospital with senior doctor and only getting 15000 per month.😩 One more shittest thing to discuss, nowadays families are coming for rishta purpose and what their demand is they want a doctor girl but they don't want her to practice or do a job. 🤬 Ofcourse girl family said big No.
Alhammadhliiah we both are doctors and earning good.our children also decided to become doctors and they are medical students now.we are satisfied by our profession.
I only recommend those to become a Dr if they are passionate about medicine Otherwise there are many fields in which you can make much better money I am a Dr my self not practicing medicine doing business only the top 20% dr are successful plus the ones which move to Europe USA canada or other first world countries Medicine is a very difficult profession and only the top ones passionate can do medicine And plus MBBS is just the beginning. Real time start after that if you are doing post graduation otherwise simple MBBS is nothing for a doctor it is just another master like degree because it is 5 yrs education after 12th grade my both kids are not doctors and they are happy 😢

Thank God someone talk about it so precisely. Pakistan's other institutions also require force mainly IT. The future of world is AI and IT. Developed countries are replacing doctors with machines and here we torture our kids for not becoming one.
