سوريا - مدرسة في آفس تفتح أبوابها بعد أن دمرتها المليشيات الإيرانية
على ركام مدرسة "شهداء آفس"، نظمت مجموعة من مدرّسي وأهالي الطلاب في بلدة آفس مبادرة لإعادة بناء المدرسة، والاستفادة من ركامها لتحويلها إلى منشأة تعليمية متواضعة، تُمكّن الأطفال من متابعة تعليمهم الذي انقطعوا عنه لمدة تتجاوز العامين، إياد سيجري، أحد المدرّسين الذين شاركوا في المبادرة، أشار إلى أن كل المدارس في المنطقة دمرتها المليشيات الإيرانية، والتي لم تدمر بعد تقع في منطقة مكشوفة على جبهات القتال، وهي ليست آمنة لاستقبال الأطفال فيها، ولذلك، نظم فريق من المتطوعين مبادرة ترميم المدرسة، باستخراج الحديد الصلب من الركام المدمّر، وباعوه لتأمين الطوب (البلوك) للبناء، وتبعد المدرسة عن مناطق سيطرة المليشيات الإيرانية في سراقب ما يقارب خمسة كيلومترات، وتقع في بلدة دُمّرت 70% من أبنيتها، وفي المقابل لا يخف الكادر التعليمي والأطفال تخوفهم من احتمالية عودة القصف مجددًا، وقدرت منظمة الأمم المتحدة للطفولة (يونيسف) عدد الأطفال المحرومين من التعليم في سوريا خلال عشر سنوات من الحرب، بأكثر من مليوني طفل، بحسب آخر بيان لها، ويوجد أكثر من 2.4 مليون طفل خارج المدرسة، حوالي 40% منهم من الفتيات، بحسب البيان، الذي أشار إلى ارتفاع هذا الرقم بسبب تأثير جائحة فيروس كورونا التي أدت إلى تفاقم وضع التعليم في سوريا.

On the ruins of the "Afes Martyrs School", a group of teachers and students' families in Afes town coordinated an effort to reconstruct the school and make use of its ruins turning it into a humble educational facility that helps children to proceed with their education, which they have been deprived of for more than two years. Iyad Sejri, one of the teachers who participated in the initiative, stated that all schools in the town had been demolished by Iranian militias, and those that had not yet been destroyed are located in an open area on the battlefronts and are not safe for children, thus a team of volunteers formed a school reconstruction initiative extracting Iron from destroyed ruins, and they sold it to buy bricks for construction. The school is roughly five kilometers away from the areas dominated by the Iranian militia in Saraqib, and is located in a town where 70% of its buildings have been demolished, in response; the educational staff and children do not conceal their fear of the bombing threat. The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) estimated the number of children deprived of education in Syria over the 10 years of the war, more than 2 million, based to its recent statement, and there are more than 2.4 million children are out of school, 40% of them are girls. The statement suggested that this number has increased due to the influence of covid, which has deteriorated education in Syria.
