Dr Moeed, Playing the long game using conventional methods involve assumption that at least some of the rules of engagement will be followed by all sides. That does not matter now as the illegitimate children have all ganged up and look set to burn down the house. The Titanic is sinking while PTI is playing music to keep everyone entertained. PTI needs to drop the "holier than thou" attitude and engage with the govt. We need to develop consensus to, instead, use constitutional amendments to ppl's advantage. Of course, it requires compromise but even a small win for the ppl is better than a complete thrashing of human rights. This is what all parties should easily gravitate towards, which also nips the evil in the bud: -COAS shall turn into an advisory role with no operational command. Ministry of defense will take over operational control of the Military. (There will never be a better time to accomplish this) -ISI will be headed by a civilian, who could be a bureaucrat or a non-sitting general. -roll back of ACR control under ISI. What PTI should demand: -QFI to be sent home at the end of his term. -Immediate release of IK What PTI can offer in return: -Govt to complete 3 yrs or full term -PTI will drop all challenges in election tribunals. This is an essential compromise which will bring us out of this crisis with a win - albeit small. Let's live to fight another day.
If the titanic is sinking, everybody will sink with it. Instead of expecting miracles from pti, why can’t you guys get out of your houses and start street agitation? Ik is in jail.
HT : The establishment will accept this deal. Then after 3 years they wil make a U turn and impose a disguised Martial Law again. Deals can only be made when there is some law or Constitution followed or with honest people. Deals between mafias are based on money and death if the other double crosses. In jungle law there are no deals. Ever heard of a deer asking the lion not to eat it if it dances to entertain the lion ?
@@SamiaFAmim With a pragmatic approach, u can c that all this resistance is meaningless - a futile effort by any stretch. The bloody revolution that all so much wished to avoid is, unfortunately, the only way to stop this. The problem is that we have not achieved the critical mass necessary to tip over. 9 May has done its job and fear is overwhelming the populace. The problem lies in the fact that most ppl still do not grasp the severity of the situation. I asked a few ppl about the difference between the constitution and the law, they had no idea😢. Ppl have no clue y constitution is so sacred. That is precisely y my efforts to persuade folks to attend the jalsa were not quite fruitful. Majority of those that go do so for the love of IK. Those who don't are scared shitless of the police. They don't understand what is at stake here. This cause should transcend any party politics, individual personalities (IK) or fear of getting locked up. All the dissenting voices like Moeed, Shahbaz, Wajahat etc need to join hands and start an educational campaign on all fronts on an emergency basis. They must explain to the ppl exactly how and y their future generations r all doomed if the amendments pass. All other news/stories r irrelevant at the moment IMO.
Important V log..one can feel the pain with which you have given your valid and valuable comments. You are right. Country is in very unhappy condition. Minister of defence has been sent to speak before UN rather than minister of Foreign affairs. Shame on us.
I completely agree with your assessment, the problem is that we are not Pakistani in Pakistan. Our intellectual core has left the country and what left behind is a corrupt system which is controlled by corrupt politicians, corrupt generals, corrupt judges and corrupt bureaucrats. Unless people of Pakistan unite as one people and stand against this corrupt evil regime, they have no chance to be free.
