شَهداد یکی از شهرهای توابع بخش شهداد شهرستان کرمان در استان کرمان ایران است. این منطقه در ۸۷ کیلومتری (فاصله هوایی ۵۸ کیلومتر) شمال شرق شهر کرمان جای دارد. شهداد از جنوب غرب به مناطق کوهستانی و سردسیر سیرچ از شمال شرق به مناطق کویری و گردشگری بِکر کلوتهای شهداد و دریاچه جوان شهداد منتهی می‌شود. شهداد در گذشته مرکز ایالت آراتا بوده‌است و همچنین درفش شهداد کهن‌ترین پرچم فلزی یافت شده در ایران است که اکنون در موزه ملی ایران نگهداری می‌شود.
با طی‌کردن مسیری حدود ۲۰ کیلومتر پس از شهر شهداد و به‌سمت بیابان لوت، به جنگلی از درختانِ کوتاه‌قد که به پارک و یا جنگل نبکاها معروف است، میرسیم. این صحنه ی باور نکردنی در بیابان، نامهای متفاوتی در گویشهای مختلف دارد که از جمله ی آنها میتوان به تَلِ گَز و تل طاغ اشاره کرد. و به گلدان های کویری هم معروف هستند.
Shahdad is one of the cities located in the Shahdad district of Kerman County in Kerman Province, Iran. This area is situated 87 kilometers (approximately 58 kilometers as the crow flies) northeast of the city of Kerman. Shahdad borders mountainous and cold regions to the southwest, such as the cool and mountainous Sirch, and to the northeast, it extends to desert areas and tourist attractions like the pristine sand dunes of Kalouts and Lake Jovin in Shahdad. In the past, Shahdad was the capital of the Aratta state, and it is also home to the ancient Shahdad bronze flag, the oldest metal flag found in Iran, which is now preserved in the National Museum of Iran.
After traveling approximately 20 kilometers from the city of Shahdad towards the Lut Desert, we reach a forest of short trees known as the Nebka Park or Nebka Forest. This incredible scene in the desert has different names in various dialects, including Tel Gaz and Tel Tagh. They are also known as desert flowerpots.
