Oh! Ye who gathered to leave for Mena.
هيجتم يوم الرحيل فؤادي
On the leave day, my heart was stirred.
سرتم وسار دليلكم يا وحشتي
I felt so lonely while you go with your guide.
الشوق أقلقني وصوت الحادي
The voice of your singer and longing worried me.
حرمتمو جفني المنام ببعدكم
I was deprived of sleep when you’re away from me.
يا ساكنين المنحنى والوادي
Oh residents of the valley and village.
ويلوح لي ما بين زمزم والصفا
Something appears to me in the distance between Safa and Zamzam.
عند المقام سمعت صوت منادي
I heard the callers voice in the shrine of Abraham.
ويقول لي يا نائما جد السرى
Telling me (oh sleeper) to walk as fast as I can.
عرفات تجلو كل قلب صادي
The mountain of Arafat cleans ( purifies).
The heart which’s filled with sins
من نال من عرفات نظرة ساعة
Whoever stays in Arafat for an hour

نال السرور ونال كل مرادي
will be pleased and satisfied.
تالله ما أحلى المبيت على منى
I swear by Allah that who spends the night in Mena, waiting one of .
في ليل عيد أبرك الأعياد
The most blessed fast(Eid) who sacrifices his sacrifice for Allah with.
ضحوا ضحاياهم وسال دماؤها
Its sheded blood
.
وأنا المتيم قد نحرت فؤادي
I slaughtered my heart as I am lovelorn
لبسوا ثياب البيض شارات اللقاء
They wear their white garments signed by
وأنا الملوع قد لبست سوادي
satisfaction, on the other hand, I’m so homesick, Wearing my black garments.
ياا رب أنت وصلتهم صلني بهم فلحقكم ياا رب فك قيادي
Oh! Allah ye accepted them, help me to catch up with.
فإذا وصلتم سالمين فبلغوا
In case of arriving there well, please,
مني السلام أهيل ذاك الوادي
regard me to the residents of that valley.
قولوا لهم عبدالرحيم متيم ومفارق الأحباب والأولاد
Tell them. Homesick, AbdelRahman, is departed from his lovers and sons.
صل عليك الله يا علم الهدى
