I agree with the first solution while the second one doesn't completely sound good because if a wife cheats on her husband then she should be divorced irrespective of any reason. If she chooses other person then why should she destroy someone's life making life miserable for the husband. So it is better that both of them should live a happy and a new life. Forgiveness cannot be implied if a wife sleeps with other men. That's it.
