Radhe Radhe. Karthik here, I am 27 and a completely fit Hatha Yoga practitioner. Recently I came across a video on Nasya Chikitsa where it was mentioned to put two drops of Mustard oil in each nostrils as Pratimarsha Nasya further elaborated with references of Ashtanga Hridaya, Nasyavidhi Adhyaya(15 times in a day). I tried doing the same as mentioned, did it just for one day; thrice, in morning and after morning and evening meals, 2 2 drops in each nostrils. After the practice itself, I observed mucus moving from the nasal passage to mouth which I gargled out. Eventually I was able to sense as there's something stuck in throat and then stomach acids begun to come up, and then stomach acids with food. I stopped the practice that night itself. I didn't do Nasya anymore. But, vomiting reflexes and dakar sustained for the next 4 days with a feeling of as if something is stuck in the throat. All these days I kept gulping saliva out of a natural urge because of the stuck feeling. I did Kunjal Kriya with salt water the next day of practicing Nasya and took Lavanbhaskar churna after food. That's it, the vomiting reflexes and stuck feeling has receded to a much extent but still there's a little left with pain in throat. (23rd December it was that I practiced Nasya with Mustard oil). There's no issue with digestion, stools are perfect. But the results have left me with vomiting reflexes, frequent dakar, throat pain and little fear. Please, could you help me with this. And Which oil can be used for pratimarsha nasya to include in Dinacharya....? Please answer, it would be of great help. Jai Shree Radhe.

Can ANU TAILA, Panchendriya Vardhan Taila, or Shadbindu Taila be used for Pratimarsha Nasya for a lifetime 2,2 drops in each nostrils ( to specifically mention the 15 times mentioned by Maharishi Vaghbhat in Ashtanga Hridaya for dinacharya)....? 2. Can Pratimarsha Nasya be done after practicing Jala Neti in morning...?? 3. If done with medicated oil like ANU Taila, etc. Is Swedan or Snehan required if taken 2 2 drops for 15 mentioned times...? I would be of great help if you can put light on this. As ANU Taila, etc for 15 times without snehan or swedan 2 2 drops each for a lifetime. I am unsure and worried. Mam please tell whether we can use any oil with PLASTIC cover for nasya kriya or it will have side effects..and which is the best oil for this...also whether we need to heat the oil before applying it

Extremely beneficial Ayurvedic oil used to get rid of respiratory tract. I can vouch for it as I have used this oil some 40 years ago . Even now, I always keep it with me as a back up support.
