Maruti Celerio, among two models from the carmaker, has been recalled due to a possible defect in the rear brake assembly pin. Meanwhile, the hatchback is also offered with benefits of up to Rs 44,000 this November.
Price: Maruti retails the second-generation Celerio between Rs 5.25 lakh and Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom).
Variants: It is sold in four trims: LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+. The CNG version is offered only on the second-from-base VXi trim.
Engine and Transmission: It makes use of a 1-litre petrol engine (making 67PS and 89Nm), coupled to a five-speed manual transmission and an optional five-speed AMT.
The CNG version is only offered with a five-speed manual transmission and produces 56.7PS and 82Nm of torque. Furthermore, the CNG tank has a storage capacity of 60 litres (water equivalent).

Rivals: Maruti Celerio rivals the Tata Tiago, Maruti Wagon R and Citroen C3.
