Celebrities go for natural look as they are glammed up all the time plus they have portrayed many bridal looks on screen as well ,but we normal people are embracing our natural beauty on day to day basis ,so for us it should be like not following any trend just embracing your choices so that when you look at your wedding pics after 30 years you are happy that you followed your heart and it's okay to do heavy makeup if you like it as it is your day And unlike celebrities we get to be Bride only once in a lifetime Secondly I don't think she break any rule in her wedding
Don't make generalised statements for women living across India. Brides from Gujarat, Maharashtra and southern states do not prefer lehenga over saree.
Correct In Gujarat, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Odisha, Tamilnadu, Andhrapradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry brides wear Sarees....in Andhra and West Bengal Brides wear white and red sarees..... India is not Punjab....please get your facts straight!
Yes Vinni, your point on not doing destination marriage is really appreciated since it costs exorbitantly. And many people try to follow what filmstars are doing which in my view is foolishness, still at least few people would consider this point, I hope. As far as saree is concerned, the comment was not expected from you as a stylist. In that case I would suggest come out & know your country. Bengalees, Keralites, Maharashtrians, can't imagine anything but sarees in their wedding. It's been long that pastel shades are in during weddings, not very uncommon any more. aapki sari batein theek h but mam aap ye dekho ki already ye kitne costumes try karte h same jwellery n hair style...inke liye aisa karna easy h but we belongs to middle class family jaha shaddi ek baar honi h aur dress bhi ek baar leni h waha aisa look rakna possible nhi h
U need to explore different wedding rituals...u will find this already existing for years in different part of the country...a Kerala Christian bride wear saree which is ivory color or white in color...may be it's a surprise to people of North who are used to lehenga for their weddings...
See madam,they have been dating n living with each other since 5 years where their parents were also comfortable.We are not there in general I m saying. We make love but keep secret, living relationship to bahut dur ki baat hai.So for them it was just a formality for people. We can't take marriages in such a simple way where even parents were seen as guest. In terms of looks,only open hair n wearing saree was different in comparison to others bollywood marriages .In our India, weddings do happen in Saree or lehenga. Even katrina was seen wearing saree in same style for a while in her marriage.So probably Alia is second.. Many Indian marriage are managed within 10 lakhs n her only saree would have costed in crores... I seriously follow fashion but what's practical in our own way.Even our external affair minister said in USA,thank u for advice but I prefer doing it may way( This line applies everywhere). Simplicity in marriages should be given priority but not because celebrity are doing so. Fashion shoul be supported with knowledge and what's best possible in our personal capacity.. Ur content was right to break stereotype anyways...

Cover genuine weddings of various areas. South India especially Kerala brides opt for ivory/white/light pastel colors

सनातन धर्म में विवाह हमेशा सफ़ेद साड़ी में होता है और बाल खुले रखने होते हैं। मेरी शादी भी इसी तरह हुई थी। किन्तु यह 30 साल पहले की बात है आजकल लाल या किसी और कलर के बंधेज की साड़ी में शादी होने लगी है। और बालों का भी जुड़ा बनाने लगे हैं।
