चौदहवीं का चाँद गुरुदत्त की बेहतरीन फ़िल्मों में गिनी जाती है। इस फ़िल्म में गुरुदत्त के लिए पहली बार संगीतकार रवि ने संगीत दिया था और पहली बार ही उनकी फ़िल्म को शकील बदायूंनी ने गीतों से सजाया था। गायक उनके पसंदीदा मोहम्मद रफ़ी ही थे। लेकिन इस गाने की रिकॉर्डिंग के दौरान गुरुदत्त मोहम्मद रफ़ी से ख़फ़ा हो गए थे।

Absolutely right sir ! Rafi sahab holds a position above Bellwood and its award system. Dada saheb might be a great figure for film making. But Rafi sahab would be rated much above him in the world of music. Unfortunately Rafi sahab was not awarded BHARAT Ratna also. Not even Padma Vibhushan, not even Padma Bhushan. Just a Padma Shree was bestowed on Rafi sahab - nothing can be sadder than this. It is a humiliation of the greatest singer the world has ever seen. Rafi sahab's family should return the Padma Shree to the Government of India.

अपनी गलती कबूल कर के माफी मागना ये हर किसी के बस की बात नही है. उसके लिये जो दिल चाहिए वोह सिर्फ और सिर्फ रफी साब के पास था. कभी कभी तो उन्होने अपनी गलती नां होनेपर भी बडा दिल दिखाकर माफी मांगी थी. इतना बडा दिल बॉलीवूड में ना किसी के पास था नां है ना होगा. यही बात रफिसाब को सब से अलग बनाती है.

Every muslim is called sahab like Rafi sahab, Dilip sahab, Naushaad sahab, Mehboob khan sahab, But EVERY HINDU, no matter how great he is, is called without sahab. Some examples Rafi sahab Kishore Kumar Dilip sahab Devanand Naushaad sahab R D Burman Mehboob khan Sahab Bimal Roy Naseer sahab Om puri For this discrimination Muslims are not responsible at all, it's hinus they discriminate very badly, they have slave mindset

Mohammed Rafi kabhi nahi haare, Guru Dutt zindagi se haar gaye. Kehne ko dil nahi chahtha, lekin aise thumbnail lgaayenge Rafi sahab ke baare mein to yehi reaction milega. Ye mehlo ....ki duniya...Rafi sahab ke is geet ne Guru Dutt ko zindagi aur zindagi ke baad bhi azmat dilaayi.

Basically team work which we have lost now. Never did any music director or singer or lyricist or producer, director ever try to take credit individually or take credit of others. When a good song was made and people loved, they celebrated as a team. That is why they say, today no gems are made, only 1 day achievers.
