Urdu is a Indian language that is born and brought up in India. Pakistan adopted Urdu later. The majority of Pakistani people speak Punjabi. Hindi and Urdu are sister Languages and India is their mother

Urdu is as Indian as Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Sanskrit and other languages. It's very painful to see some think it as foreign language. Huge respect to Javed ji and Jashn-e- rekhta channel for emphasising this. ❤️

Jo Hindustani subcontinent me 1.5 billion log bolte samjhte hain wo hi zaban Hindustani/Hindavi/Urdu/Rekhta hai. Ye zaban barahvi Sadi ke baad jab Delhi me Sultanate ka raaj aaya to wahan ki boli khariboli se janmi hai. 600 saalon Tak ye zaban mughalia army camps aur baazaron me Pali badi. Ye zaban Jo sirf Delhi ke aaspas Tak limited thi usko pure hindostan me sultanate aur Mughal soldiers officers ne pure hindostan me phailayi, Kashmir se Deccan Tak aur Balochistan se assam Tak Urdu phaili. Phir Sanskritised hindi/Urdu ka janm 19vi Sadi me Urdu/hindustani me se farsi lafz hatakar sanskrit lafz daalke banadi gayi Jo angrezon ne fort William college me banyi taaki hindu muslim ko banta ja sake. Lekin iss nayi sanskrit nisht Urdu ke Sher o shayari ki koi wo rutba nahi hai aaj bhi Urdu shayari ke saamne. Log Urdu me hi Sher bolte hai Urdu ke hi gaane sunte hain Urdu me baat chit karte hain. Koi bhi nakli zaban jitna bhi thopa Jaye nahi chalegi. Zaban thopi Jaa sakti hoti to aaj hum sab Urdu/Hindi ki jagah sanskrit ya Farsi bol rahe hote.

There should be URDU departments in every School 🏫,Colleges and Universities.

Javed saheb Urdu has ability of getting merge with any other languages. Many words are used in Marathi with comfort. He gave useful account on scripts of various languages in the world. Wonderful Punjabi has three scripts. English script is used by French German. Hindi & Urdu are twin sisters. The Undu was used to criticise the Jannat aur Jahannum. People love hearing & speaking Urdu. Rekhta good platform for propagation amongst people.

I'm his biggest fan and have probably watched every single one of his speeches and interviews on RU-vid over the years, but I wish he wouldn't repeat the same thoughts and anecdotes so frequently. I understand that one's perspective can't change from interview to interview when one is out there in the public eye constantly, but I'm sure he'll have plenty more stories to share if he is made aware of the repetition problem arising from easy availability of content across the internet. He has even repeated some of these lines in a previous Rekhta appearance. Nonetheless, love and respect to Javed sir. Greatest inspiration :)

सारी बातें प्रेरणा दायक है एवं अति सत्य है।भाषाबिद सुनिती कुमार चट्टोपाध्याय बहुत दिन पहले ही यह तथ्य दे चुके हैं कि उर्दू भाषा कोई विदेशी भाषा नहीं है यह सम्पूर्ण रूप से "हिन्दू सन्यासी"भाषा है जिसे अरबी स्क्रिप्ट में लिखी जाती है, देवनागरी लिपि में भी लिखी जा सकती है। किसी भी भाषा का विशुद्ध व्याकरण जाने बिना

इस तरह के आयोजन लगातार हटे रहने चाहिए जिस से आने वाली नस्ल को भी अपना अदब सीखने में आसानी हो।

It's true Hindustan is the real owner of Urdu - we just have borrowed it for a while. Our acclaimed Urdu Conference in Karachi seems to pale down in front of this wonderful event. Would love to see people like him in my country (Urdu's borrowed homeland, that is).

It speaks to the depleted state of Urdu in India that a man of talent such as Javed Akhtar has to make the same cheer-leading speech year after year. He is being diplomatic no doubt, but in his heart he must know the truth. His more adult and unrehearsed style at the Faiz festival in Lahore gave it away. He did not need to explain himself there or the language.

Poets usually express the misgivings of moral n social inadequacies in their societies, the hypocracy of clergy and the authorities of the time through their poetry in satire,at times. There is no denying the fact that URDU originated in India and is only spoken in the sub-continent,but it is inspired from Arabic And Persian as well....that is what brings the beautiful sounds in it. Mr Javeed Akhtar in his essentric, atheistic tone seems to ignore that. He is great in what he has achieved in name n fame ,of course, on his own merit on Bollywood platform ,but not everyone will agree with everything he says all the time....... Overconfidence abundance.

I have immense respect for sh.Javed Akhtar. We need such personalities to maintain communal harmony in India

I respect his knowledge and wisdom but still maintain that Urdu is a non-organic development of the Hindi language (it’s a broad spectrum of Prakrit languages, but let’s take खडी बोली as Hindi) caused by ingress of Persian language. If the Moguls had not come, there was no chance of Persian (and later on Arabic and Turkish) words getting into Hindi conversation and giving rise to Urdu.
