Pharm D doctor cannot prescribe medications as per Indian system of medicines as it doesn't have a pharmacy board of speciality like the USA. But Pharm.D can use all means and devices to check patient conditions for diagnosis.

If you would like to work in Hospitals then join as Clinical Pharmacist in any hospitals across the city. You can join MNCs or CROs in Clinical Trials.
Hi. Basically an MBBS graduate and Pharm.D post graduate is same with respect to medicines but in Pharm.D course basics of Surgery education or course is not included in its syllabus and curriculum. Hence a Pharm.D postgraduate cannot do surgery and totally unaware about its basics. So, when Pharm.D postgraduate is unaware of basics of Surgery how he can be admitted into any surgery course without knowing basics.

Yes. in western countries especially in the US Board of Pharmacy Specialities gave the right to Pharm.D to prescribe medicine. In India, as such, there is no Board of Pharmacy Specialities and hence the government is in the process to give Pharm.D's to prescribe medications. As of now, on today's date, a Pharm.D cannot prescribe medication.
@@amritanand1296 See both fields are different I can say. We have nearly 5 systems of treatment. 1. Allopathy 2. Ayurvedic 3. Homoeopathy 4. Chinese 5. Unani. Here BHMS comes under Homeopathy and Pharm.D comes under Allopathy. Each system has its own significance.
Aoa when you discussed that Dr can be used by mbbs and pharm D the slide stated Pharm D (not doctorate) but when we see similar videos like yours from US they call it a doctorate can you clarify this confusion? Tia
In india Pharm.D is to be called Doctor not Doctorate that's because it's governing body Pharmacy Council of India has said so. In US thier is a different board of specialities.
I welcome your query. Doctorate if used anywhere can only be called is only after doing PhD whereas Doctor is used for MBBS or Pharm.D. Some Pharm.D's or MBBS will do MS and PhD then surely they will be called as Doctorates too. Hope the answer is clear. Regards
Sir like you said about pharmacist ki unhe medicine ki yada knowledge hoti hai... Toh apko ni lagta ki medicine prescribe karne ka right pharmacist ko hona chahiye na ki kisi mbbs doctor ko.
Hamaare country me Board of Pharmacy Specialities ka hona zaroori hai tab jaake ye sab cheeze kee jasakti hai. Developed countries me Board of Specialities hoti hai.
MBBS doctors human body ke baare mein jyada deeply knowledge rakhte hai as compared to pharmacist, isliye patients ko prescription likhne ka right mbbs holders ko hi hona chahiye hamesha kyuki prescription patients ke body conditions aur current body functions ko supervise krke hi likha jaata hai jo ki ek mbbs doctor better way mein kar sakta hai as compared to pharmacist.
Aur.. pharmacists ko drugs and medicines ki knowledge jyada hoti hai as compared to mbbs doctors. Isliye kisi bhi disease k liye best choice of medicines kya ho skti hai ye pharmacist bahot better way mein suggest kr skte hai doctors ko bhi aur patients ko bhi.
You can do Pharm.D (Post baccalaureate) or M.Pharm. Both have their own importance. Pharm.D (PB) - Clinical Pharmacy wheareas M.Pharm. is post graduation.
Yes karsakte hai laikin admission aapke inter +2 ke hisaab se hi hoga aur B.Pharm count nahi hoga. Iske saath saath MBBS me age criteria aur dusri requirements puri karni hogi...!!!
Dear Varun, Bohot achi baat hai ki aap MBBS karna chahte hai par uske liye aapka class twelth me Biology ka padna mandatory hai. Bina biology padhe aap MBBS nahi karsakte.

Doctors are governed by Doctors Association of India and they have right to write Prescription. Thier is no Board of Specialities for Pharmacist. These bodies governs and gives the authority.
