The first dating sonography, also known as a first trimester ultrasound or a dating scan, is typically performed between 6 weeks to 8 weeks of pregnancy.

During the first dating sonography, Our doctor use an ultrasound machine to create images of the developing fetus. This will allow them to measure the size of the fetus, including the length of the crown-rump (the length from the top of the head to the bottom of the buttocks), and to assess the fetal heartbeat.
The ultrasound can also detect multiple pregnancies, such as twins or triplets, and can determine the location of the pregnancy, whether it is in the uterus or outside of it (ectopic pregnancy).
The first dating sonography is a routine part of prenatal care and is usually performed in any gynaecologist clinic or medical facility, The procedure is non-invasive and generally does not require any preparation or recovery time.
