1. From ghud using yeast, ethanol can be produced. which can act as fuel. This invention is there from years, for this no need of any catalyst etc. But ethanol cannot be used as fuel as engine life time reduces by 60% and when the fuel is used produces harmful gases and also the process of preparing ethanol in turn produces carbon di oxide. so not environment friendly 2. Now plastic is converted into diesel using some catalysts. The process of heating, using catalysts, cooling down are same as that of ethanol preparation. it is not new. but the identification of proper catalyst to decide which liquid you want to produce is something amazing. The ability to produce whatever carbohydrous liquid you want from other carbo hydrid solid material is something a new kind of art. this is just one product. Since this method is now evolving in IIT, it is just a matter of few months of few years to find method to find petrol of different categories, to be useful for vehicles, busses, rails, aeroplanes, rockets, missiles etc. May be new type of fuels may be invented with better caloric values and required melting and boiling points. The ball is in the hands of IITians. So, everything is possible. Waiting for few more new inventions to come in time...

After production, first you have to check falmability, then you will observe its not flamable as compare to originol fuel,there need to add flamable acid because without this combustion does not take properly.ok Keep it up
Great work if this could be done then it will be great for us, because with the help of of this techmology we can make fuel from waste or single use plastic. Which could help us to clean our environment.

Brother this is not new technology, please read Alka zadgaonkar's research on this. She has developed a commercial product in 2005. Her model is way more mature.

Nice video. However we use the fast pyrolysis plant Fpp02 for recycling plastic & wood waste. Reactor 500 kg/h. It turns out fuel for hot water boilers.
