We already have seen 2 rice papad recipes. One of them was traditional recipe and another was from rice flour. Here is instant papad recipe which are made by steaming. These are very easy and simple to make and taste fantastic. You can try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me. Do not forget to like, share and subscribe.
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup Rice
• 1/2 cup + 1~2 tsp Water
• 1/4 tsp Papadkhar
• Salt to taste
• Cumin seeds
• Sesame seeds
Method:
• Wash rice really good 2-3 times and soak in enough water for about 5-6 hours.
• You can use any rice.
• Transfer the soaked rice into a blender jar and add very little water.
• Blend rice into fine paste and transfer it into a bowl.
• Add little water to adjust the consistency.
• Add papadkhar, salt, cumin seeds, sesame seeds and mix well.
• Rest the batter for about 10 minutes.
• Take small plates or small lids of dabba and grease them well with oil.
• Once the plates are greased then no need to grease them again and again.
• Mix the batter once well and add spoonful batter into each plate. Spread the batter well.
• Heat up water in lower pot of the steamer and transfer the plates into upper pot.
• Cover and steam for just about 30-40 seconds.
• Remove the lid and take the plates out.
• Take the papd off with the help of spoon or knife and transfer them on a plastic sheet.
• You can use cotton cloth too in place of plastic sheet.
• When the sides of the papad begin to lift up, flip them over so that their shape will be retained.
• Dry the papad under hot sun for about a day.
• Instand rice papad are all ready.
• You can make about 45 small papad form 1/2 cup rice.
