धन्यवाद मेरे मित्र डॉ शंकर शरण जी आप एक सच्चे आदमी हो। आज हमारे देश में हिंदू दूसरे नंबर का नागरिक बनकर रह गया है। आप विद्वान विचारशील व्यक्ति हैं आप को क्रियाशील भी वनना चाहिए। आपको भारतीय जनता पार्टी में शामिल होना चाहिए। यहां तक संविधान की बातें संविधान में तो बहुत से संशोधन हो सकते हैं। और हुए भी है। लेकिन आप जैसे लोगों को राजनीति में आने की आवश्यकता है केवल चिंतन से भाषणों से हर विचार से कुछ नहीं होगा ।

आजादी के तत्काल बाद मंद बुद्धियो का सत्ता पर प्रभुत्व होना हानिकारक रहा। मैं गांधी ,नेहरू को इसी श्रेणी में रखता हूँ। अम्बेडकरजी द्वारा ग्रवामिन पॉलिटिक्स का अर्थ स्पष्ट करना बुद्धिमान होने का प्रतिक है। कि दुर्बलता का स्वांग रच कर दबंगई की राजनीती करना अल्प संख्यकों की फितरत हो गई है। धन्यवाद शंकर शरणजी को।

भारत के संविधान में भाषा-लिपि और संस्कृति के आधार पर अल्पसंख्यक तबके को विशेष अधिकार दिए गए हैं -अनु २९,३०।जबकि अनु २५ से २८ तक सभी नागरिकों को अपने -२ पंथ को मानने ,प्रचार करने का ,संस्था बनाने का अधिकार मिला हुआ है।अनु २९-३० में अल्पसंख्यक अधिकारो के आधार की गारंटी तो मिली है ।लेकिन अल्पसंख्यक किसे किन आधारों पर माना जाएगा ?यह आज तक तय नहीं हुआ है ।सुप्रीम कोर्ट भी अपने बिभिन्न निर्णयो में अंततः सिर्फ़ इतना तक तय कर पायी है की राज्यों में जनसंख्या के आधार पर अल्पसंख्यक होने की कटेगरी तय होनी चाहिए ।परंतु सुप्रीम कोर्ट इसे अभी तक केस दर केस तय करने का काम करती रही है ।कोई एक सेट परिभाषा और क्रईटेरिया आज तक तय नहीं हो सकी है ।जिसका दुशपरिणाम यह हुआ है की जो वाकई एकदम से अलपसंख्यक तबक़ा है लाख दस लाख तक की संख्या में है -उसके मायनॉरिटी राइट्स की कभी कोई चिंता नहीं होती बल्कि इसकी जगह उन लोगों को मायनरती मान लिया गया और सारे अधिकारों का मज़ा लूट रहे जो सच्चे अर्थों में भाषा संस्कृति के आधार पर अल्पसंख्यक हैं ही नहीं !इसलिए सबसे ज़रूरी है अल्पसंख्यक होने की राज्यकी ही सही जनसंख्या के प्रतिशत के आधार पर क्राइटेरिया तय की जाए।ताकि लुप्तप्राय वास्तविक अल्पसंख्यको को संरक्षण दिया जा सके और फ़र्ज़ी अल्पसंख्यको को मायनॉरिटी सेक्शन से बाहर किया जाए ।

Had goosebumps watching this! Have been feeling some of this sentiment (mostly relating to the anti-hindu feeling equated for that which respects all 'faiths' and the loss and denigration of profound 'dharma' / Vedic knowledge but Dr.Shankar explained the whole system so well - how the 'secular' mindset has impacted the law, political stance, education! It is so unfortunate to see the barriers that stand in the way of spreading the most precious jewel of this land - out spiritual knowledge! What can be worse than a civilisation deciding to not pass on its ancient wisdom..protected and preserved over ages to its coming generations? Imagine if this was to happen in technology space, how absurd we would find it, but we don't see that it's worse when dharma- the technology for leading a fulfilling and happy life and of realizing oneself is not passed on. It is such a loss! I can connect with this lecture deeply because I come from NGO Sector (mostly leftists) and have looked down upon hinduism and considered myself 'progressive and secular' for many years. Only recently when I started reading vedanta, got exposed to left- criticism did I start seeing this phenomenon/politics differently. I still have a doubt (even though I agree with 90% of what is being said). Even though it's true that hindu dharma or 'sanatan dharm' are principles of conduct and not just a belief in an entity/book/authority, in practice I'm not sure how many hindus understand this. In practice, hinduism (like other religions) is also introduced as a set of rituals in most families- kids are told to bow to idols in mandirs and pray etc, they are told that fasting and praying will please god, prasad is a blessing of god etc (the underlying meaning of it is not understood). Therefore the interpretation of hindusm as a faith may be based on observations and its practice and not its original nature.

"Secular" was initially not included in Indian Constitution; It was Indira Gandhi during the emergency 1976 that "Secular" word was added in the constitution!!!

This is what's called "BIDAMBANA". This is the result of inferiority complex in us Hindus. India is still being enslaved by others like british minority 100 yrs earlier, like muslim minority 300-400 yrs earlier. India is still the land for outsiders than for it's own people. This has to change. Aab Hindu ko bhi kattar banna hi padega. Now Hindus must be a bit extreme. This is our original land and must be made so. Rights is not given, it should be taken, snatched if required.

Catholic, or Christian schools do teach a bit of New Testament, but I have not seen any of the students being influenced enough by it, to have converted wholly to Christianity. However, such people are ignorant of, and often superciious towards the hindu way of life. They are neither, here nor there. In my view, to be rigid and fundamentalist is not the answer. No one has a moral right to claim, ONLY MY BELIEF IS TRUE. However, having lately learnt somethings about The Quran, and the Sharia Law, which is eternally binding on its followers, I certainly feel humanity must make an effort to rid the world of that mostly dark ideology.
