Very good. Mostly its available like this in maharashtra . One secret. This is a rustic dish originated for working class , now famous. Two tips 1.Just replace Farsaan with medium thick yellow sev. 2. Try using dry green peas or white peas instead of Mataki. Then you get real original Misal Paav as served on bus stands , dockyard canteens and villages.
Sach main mooh main paani aagaya. Eight years back had this dish at Kolhapur. Woh yaad aaya. It was too spicy. Thank you for the receipe . Wish to know Goda masala too.

Sir, Usal is the Moth and Gravy put together. Plus the "Cut" is the oily layer on the Usal which normally is spicy. Misal as a word in Marathi means "mixture" which is prepared in many styles in Maharashtra. Overall presentation is good, however the study was little less. Sir, i am maharashtra , i insist you to that in various areas of maharashtra ,like khandesh has their own flavour, marathwada also has different type of masala, in kokan they have famous malawani masala, in vidarbha also have different masala ,in West maharashtra like kolhapur-solapur they have different masala. All in all one have to classified and present those masala . Hope you will do that. Thank you!
Simple and looking tasty. But in few outlets, I see they add dosa potato baaji instead of usal while serving. Looking for simple version to try at home and finally got it. Thanks Bhupi ji
